This detached, former fisherman/crofter’s cottage has been tastefully restored to provide very comfortable holiday accommodation. The property overlooks the Kyles of Tongue, a dramatic expanse of pristine golden sand, and the many skerries that create this fabulous coastline. The ever-changing seascape and light make this area a truly get-away-from-it-all holiday experience. The area has much to offer, with Ben Hope and Ben Loyal for the serious climber and low level coastal walks. Smoo Cave, Castle of Mey, the former home of the late Queen Mother, Cape Wrath and a day trip from John O’Groats to the Orkney Isles are within a short drive. Loch and sea fishing are available, and a wide range of seabirds, such as puffins, waders and hen harriers can be easily spotted. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
