There are many footpaths and lanes to explore, including the Stour Valley Path from Newmarket to the sea at Manningtree. Horse riding and cycle hire can be arranged locally. The area is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts with deer and bird watching available. Badger sightings are almost guaranteed, bring some peanuts. Shops 2.5 miles, pubs and restaurant 1 mile..
