Situated in one of the most picturesque villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with majestic views of Malham Cove from the rear, this cosy, Grade II listed, semi-detached cottage has been lovingly restored to a very good standard. Exposed beams, stone walls and a woodburner add to its character and make this an ideal place for getaway holidays throughout the year. Walks can be enjoyed across the fields and fells of Malhamdale, with access to the Pennine Way close by, and amid the spectacular scenery of the National Park all around. Malham is a traditional Dales village with a stream running through the centre, offering the choice of two pubs, teashops and the National Park Centre for all your holiday information. Shop 2.5 miles, pub and restaurant 250 yards.

Very well appointed and in a perfect location for walking holidays

The cottage is equipped to a very good standard with everything you need including a washer/dryer, dishwasher and a proper cooker with oven. There are enough pots and pans etc to cook a full dinner. Wi-Fi worked well and the shower was excellent, really hot and fast.

The cleaning hadn't been quite as well done as we expect, for example some of the cooking utensils hadn't been washed up properly by whoever last used them and this hadn't been checked, the oven was dirty and the bathroom cabinet was a bit sticky inside. Otherwise the standard of cleanliness was excellent.

The cottage is perfectly located, right by the Pennine Way, close to the pubs in the village but in a quiet lane. There are lots of superb walks in the area and the view of Malham Cove from the bedroom window inspires you to get out and walk. When you get back in the evening, the bed is very comfortable. The heating worked well, as did everything else. The cottage is small but has everything two people and a dog on a walking holiday will need.
