Lying between the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks, this 200-year-old character cottage in the historic village of Burton, has exposed beams and an open fire. The cosy first floor living space has a fully fitted kitchen and stairs leading down to the entrance hall, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Kirkby Lonsdale (5 miles) is a charming, historic market town by the River Lune and boasts many specialist shops and restaurants. The larger towns of Kendal and Lancaster offer museums, castles and other leisure facilities including golf, swimming and dry-skiing. The coastal areas of Arnside, Silverdale and Leighton Moss (RSPB) are a 5-mile drive and are delightful. Shop, pub and restaurant 250 yards.
