Enjoying stunning views from every window across Jedburgh towards the abbey and Cheviot Hills, this architect-designed cottage is set in an enviable position in beautifully landscaped grounds and provides a peaceful, relaxing holiday haven. This cottage adjoins another holiday cottage. From this cottage it is a short walk of approximately 220 yards to go down into town on a pedestrian route which provides a gradual ascent or decent of the hill. Jedburgh is a charming market town set on the Jed Water, with a wide range of traditional shops and numerous pubs, cafés and restaurants. Historically there is plenty to see, including the ancient medieval abbey (especially impressive when floodlit each night), and outdoor pursuits include cycling, golf, fishing and walking. Places to visit locally include Jedforest Deer Farm Park, Monteviot House Gardens, Harestanes Countryside Centre, and a little further afield, Kielder Water and Forest Park, Newcastle and Edinburgh.
