Set peacefully within the glorious Snowdonia National Park, just 3 miles from Fairbourne’s sandy beach, this comfortable and spacious detached barn conversion with its own half-acre garden enjoys a beautiful setting overlooking the estuary with panoramic views of the sea and mountains. Sympathetically converted, it stands in 75 acres of sheep-farming land, which visitors are welcome to explore. Walking, riding, golf and fishing locally. Sailing at Barmouth 12 miles. Shops 5 miles, pub 4 miles.
The cottage is remote, so be prepared for driving. It is very nicely equipped but for one glaring omission - wifi. With no O2 signal at all, we felt somewhat disconnected, which might suit some but not us! We travelled to Roberts coffee shop (excellent) in Dolgellau each day to catch up and do our local research. Countryside is beautiful, especially the further north you travel but bring lots of waterproofs! Also, the area is surprisingly quiet.
