The cottage was great, but it was in the village of fylingthorpe ,just above Robin Hoods Bay. Months earlier I had carefully selected a cottage right in the middle of the bay. I was really disappointed when days before our trip this was removed because of a complaint about cleanliness. The walk up and down the hill to the beach is very steep and it was a strain upon my arthritic knees. The cottage we had was lovely, and Fylingthorpe is a lovely village, but it would have been more restful to be in our planned cottage. I feel that it ought to have been possible to send in the cleaners in the empty time before our booked week!
