This terraced, former fisherman’s cottage built in 1803, has lovely views out towards the sea from one of the bedrooms and decked courtyard. The holiday property has been decorated and furnished to a good standard and includes original features such as beams and feature fireplaces. The harbour, shops and restaurants are a short stroll, or take a boat trip to Torquay or Dartmouth for a day out. For nature lovers, nearby Berry Head is a National Nature Reserve and gateway site for the UNESCO-supported English Riviera Global Geopark, while the South West Coastal Path offers breathtaking walks. Breakwater Beach, a 5-minute walk, has won plenty of awards. An open-air, sea water swimming pool is a 10-minute walk. Visit Brixham and experience one of the treasures of the English Riviera, South Devon’s beautiful bay. For families looking for things to do, Torquay is a hive of activity throughout the year with beaches, Kent’s Cavern and the Living Coasts coastal zoo where you can walk with penguins. There are plenty of sightseeing excursions as well as boat and fishing trips out into the bay. Paignton is most famous for its wonderful zoo, whilst Babbacombe plays host to a world in miniature, in the form of its acclaimed model village. Agatha Christie’s summer house Greenway is also close by. Take a trip to Dartmoor National Park, see the ponies or stop in one of the many pretty villages for a Devon Cream Tea. Cockington is another pretty village with many thatched cottages, tea rooms and stunning walks. Beach ¼ mile. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 400 yards.
