From this holiday property and garden, you feel as though you could dip your finger into the crystal clear waters of St Austell Bay. There is a sun porch within the property that boasts spectacular views towards the sea and harbour. This former coastguard cottage above the harbour is perfect for whiling away the hours in this stunning village, a World Heritage Site and AONB. The village of Charlestown, so named after the landowner that built the village, is home to its very own tall ships, and is often used as a film and TV set due to its traditional buildings and old world charm. There is also a shipwreck museum with Titanic relics. There are many cafes and bars, local pubs and bistros selling local food and drink, and many pavement cafes around the harbour area. Cliff walks, deep sea fishing, cycling and golf can all be found nearby. The area surrounding the village has many NT and private gardens, and tourist attractions for all. The sea faring town of Fowey, with its Royal Regatta and literary festival, is easily reached. The Eden Project, so close you could cycle there (you can get a discount for this), the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the stunning Pine Lodge gardens are all close to Harbour Watch. Beach 30 yards.
