A 4-minute drive away is Wymondham, an attractive historic market town which has a superb range of local shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs, a weekly Friday market and a farmers’ market (held on the 3rd Saturday of each month), leisure centre with swimming pool, railway station and the massive towers of the abbey church set against green fields of the Tiffey Valley. Nestled in the pretty Norfolk village of Ashwellthorpe, adjoining the owner’s home, Willow Tree Cottage is decorated to a very good standard to offer visitors a warm and inviting welcome at any time of the year. With a host of attractions in the area including boat trips along the North Norfolk Coast and Norfolk Broads, the Royal Sandringham Estate and museum, Banham Zoo, nature reserves and a steam museum, all offer great days out.
