Blaenau Ffestiniog is the terminus of the famous Ffestiniog Railway which winds its way through spectacular scenery to the coastal town of Porthmadog. Hop off the train at Minffordd station and visit the Italianate village of Portmeirion. Nearby is the lovely beach at Black Road Sands, whilst the peaceful Llyn Peninsula or the pretty villages of Dolwyddelan and Betws-y-Coed are just waiting to be explored.
