Ash Mill Cabin is a world away from all life’s hustle and bustle. Approached over a long woodland track, this gem of a log cabin in in a truly magical setting, next to the owner’s eco-friendly home, in a clearing amongst the trees. Surrounded by 40 acres of ancient, unspoilt woodland and with views down over a tumbling stream in one of Devon’s wonderful hidden valleys. The detached cabin has been well-presented offering very comfortable holiday accommodation. The cosy living room with woodburner is complimented by a well-equipped kitchen, complete with a warming Aga at its heart. There is a spacious bedroom with views to the surrounding woodland and stream. The cabin is surrounded by an enclosed garden with a gate directly into the woodland. Once you have relaxed and enjoyed the 40-acres of land and surrounding walks, there is still plenty to see and do in the area. Nearby Chulmleigh is a charming village with a choice of shops and places to eat. The market town of South Molton has a weekly farmers’ market and a variety of shops, antique and curio shops, pubs and restaurants. Barnstaple has a theatre, cinema and leisure activities, and places of interest including the Museum of North Devon, Pannier Market, 14th-century St Anne’s Chapel and 18th-century Queen Anne’s Walk. Other attractions in the area include RHS gardens at Rosemoor and the Tarka Trail, both at Great Torrington. Spectacular beaches at Saunton, Croyde, Putsborough, Woolacombe and Westward Ho! are all within easy driving distance. There are numerous National Trust properties in the area including Castle Drogo, Arlington Court and Knightshayes. Both Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks are with reach for those wanting some more challenging walks. Libbaton golf course is a short distance away. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
