Fabulous setting, can't say enough about the hosts/owners..very kind and friendly people! The cabin is a must stay.. You can escape the heat and humidity of Kailua but just be minutes away ..close to stores and shopping , great central location to explore the BI. Or you can just stay on the mountain and enjoy the peace & quiet, visiting with the "girls" ala 🐓. Can't say enough ..we loved it!! Thanks Carolyn and Scott !
We very much enjoyed the quiet secluded cabin for our get- away. Thank you much!
Perfect! Great location, with easy access to anything you'd want to do just a short drive away, but very private. very nice owners! Scott and Caroline are more than happy to give you a rundown of the area and how everything works. I hiked up the hills a couple of times which was really nice and relaxing.
This cabin sits secluded on the back of a wonderful family property and offers the perfect balance of solitude and convenience. The cabin is a quick 10 minute drive from downtown Kona, and it sits at a high elevation for refreshingly cool evenings. Not to mention the private hottub is yours to use at any time of the night. My husband and I spent the first four days of our honeymoon in this place and we couldn't have been happier.
To top it off, Scott and Caroline were fabulous hosts for this beautiful cabin in the woods. They were available if needed but offered us complete privacy for our entire stay. Thanks so much to the both of you, it really was a fabulous trip!!
Scott and Caroline were warm and welcoming and the cabin was outfitted with everything we needed! My mother, sister and I all enjoyed the cabin immensely, our only regret was not taking more time to just hang out there. The hot tub was a major plus, we enjoyed it at the start and end of our days. The town of Kailua-Kona is not far (about 10 minutes drive), so the cabin enjoys both proximity to attractions and conveniences but is removed enough to be a retreat from the hustle and bustle. Not only would I recommend this cabin to others, I would stay there again myself.
We stayed in this cabin for a week in April 2015. It was rustic but very clean, tidy and well decorated. The cabin was well equipped, just as listed in the website and shown in the pictures. It was like camping in our travel trailer, but in Hawaii! The location was great for a couple of reasons: 1) being at a higher elevation meant that temperatures were cooler and 2) being on a secluded 5 acre lot meant it was quiet enough to enjoy the sounds of nature. The cabin made for a peaceful respite from noisy days at the beach. Scott was very helpful and willing to talk and provide information. We would stay here again or maybe in their other cabin when we return to the Kona area! Highly recommended.
8 miles from Kailua-Kona airport, 40 mins to Waimea/Parker Ranch, 30 mins to City of Refuge, 2 hours to Volcano National Park.
