About the property

House, 1 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, (Sleeps 2)

Lovingly renovated, ’The Loft, Mumfiddy Barn’, adjacent to the owners home, is a stylishly compact and cosy loft style holiday home with views over open countryside. Ideally located for easy road access to many historic East Anglian towns and villages, this delightful beamed property is set in the owner’s cottage garden which guests are welcome to use. Additionally a balcony offers the opportunity to enjoy alfresco dining. The wooden floor in the property is made up of reclaimed pine shelving from the Science Museum in London, and there is an antique iron and brass bedstead in the double room. The property is conveniently situated for visits to the historic county towns of Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Colchester, Norwich and Cambridge, there’s also an excellent train link to London. The picturesque villages of Long Melford and Lavenham are not far away, while the market towns of Needham Market and Hadleigh are even closer. Felixstowe is only 18 miles distant, likewise Woodbridge and Framlingham, the Tudor castle there being of great interest! Convenient too is Dedham in the heart of Constable Country, and the Suffolk Heritage Coast, Aldeburgh for famed fish and chips, Thorpeness featuring the ’house in the clouds’, Southwold with the wonderful pier and famed beach huts, and not forgetting of course, Snape Maltings boasting a world famous concert hall....plus many more places of great interest dotted between. Nature lovers can visit RSPB Minsmere of Springwatch fame, or if it’s fishing or golf you enjoy, those facilities are well catered for too. Shop 1 mile. Pub 500 yards.
