Saffies is a listed, single-storey, renovated stable block on a 300-acre working arable and sheep farm in the pretty village of Stogumber. Set in the folding hills between the beautiful Quantock Hills and Exmoor National Park, there are breathtaking views of the very special west Somerset countryside on your doorstep. There is a lovely patio garden to the front overlooking a fenced duck pond, and the added benefit of an electric woodburner, making it a warm and cosy holiday home all year round.It is ideal for small families or couples looking for a quiet and rural retreat. Stogumber is a typical rural village and supplies you with a pub and shop/post office all within 250 yards. There is a good pub/restaurant under 2 miles away with a further 8 within a 5 mile radius. The famous West Somerset Railway stops at Stogumber Station where you can ride the steam train along the scenic north coast to Minehead.Within the area there is an abundance of attractions, these include Cleve Abbey, Dunster Castle and fossil hunting on Kilve Beach. Surfing is available on the north Devon coast, which is 1&frac14; hour&rsquo;s drive across Exmoor National Park. For the avid walkers, there are a number of routes along the Quantock Hills and in Exmoor National Park. In addition, you can enjoy both walks and picnics around Tarr Steps, Lanacre Bridge, Bossington, Porlock Weir and Watchet Harbour. Beach 6 miles.
