This sweet, detached holiday cottage is ideally placed for exploring the popular west Cumbrian coastline of the Solway Firth and the rugged but beautiful landscape of the North Western Fells. It is set on the edge of a small, quiet village with peaceful, rural views from the small enclosed garden. Allonby is a 10-minute drive away, where a pleasant sand and shingle beach stretches along to Silloth and Maryport and forms part of the Cumbrian Coastal Way. From the beach, you look across the Solway Firth to the Scottish Hills and delight in the fabulous sunsets. Further along the coastline is the RSPB Bird Sanctuary. The Lake District National Park is within a 35-minute drive as is the historic city of Carlisle.
