For an active day out, visitors can enjoy a round of golf at the Jack Nicklaus course or watch live sport at the Llanelli Scarlet’s Rugby stadium and nearby Ffos Las racecourse. Away from the coast, Carmarthenshire countryside is just as promising with its array of charming market towns such as Llandelio and Carmarthen, as well as its enchanted medieval sites dotted around the county including Kidwelly and Dinefwr 12th-century castle and Heritage Park nestled in 800 acres of parkland and dotted with fellow deer.
