Other local attractions include golf courses and the RSPB Scotland Mull of Galloway nature reserve where thousands of seabirds nest in the cliff face during the spring and summer. Harbour porpoises, dolphins, seals, otters and minke whales can also be spotted. The town of Stranraer offers a selection of shops and restaurants and only a couple of miles further is Cairnryan home to the Stena Line ferry which makes regular trips to Ireland for further sightseeing.
