These three holiday properties (refs 23249, 29517 and 29518) nestle at the foot of Bwlchgwyn Farm just off the coastal road to Fairbourne. They are close to the beautiful Mawddach Estuary and coastal trail/cycle path which is accessible through the farmland, and which then leads down to the golden sand of Fairbourne beach or across the Victorian railway bridge which stretches over the Estuary to Barmouth. The location is ideal if you just wish to relax or join friends and family for a walk, or even just take in the idyllic scenery in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Snowdonia National Park. The owner’s family-run pony trekking and equestrian centre is just on the north side of the farm with manège for lessons, saddle clubs, and holiday stabling - experienced riders and complete beginners are also catered for. The properties lie close to a miniature steam railway and there is also golf, walking, lake and sea fishing and bird watching. Barmouth, Aberdovey, Dolgellau and Machynlleth are places to visit, as well as the slate caverns with Zip World and largest underground trampoline, King Arthur’s Labyrinth and various steam railways nearby. Or explore Coed Y Brenin cycle track, Go Ape or Harlech Castle, a ½-hour drive away. Porthmadog, Portmeirion, Snowdon, Caernarfon Castle, Capel Curig and more are about 1-1½ hours’ drive away. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile. Hen Ysgubor (29518) is a ground floor apartment, situated below Ysgubor Uchaf (29517), which is the first floor apartment.
