Somermead is an attractive waterside, detached property providing holiday accommodation for any time of year with its own 40ft mooring. This is a very spacious property which enjoys delightful views of the River Bure and has French doors onto the veranda where guests can soak up the atmosphere, relax watching the boats and enjoy the sights. There is also a separate boat house with a living area where guests can go and relax taking in the lovely views over the river. Why not hire a boat and cruise down the river, enjoying the sights and sounds of the abundance of wildlife that reflect the natural beauty of the Broads. This stretch of the river offers some of the best fishing, and is excellent for pike, carp and roach, enjoy fishing from your own private mooring (license needed), or alternatively it is a perfect spot for birdwatching. Somermead is within walking distance to the centre of Wroxham, widely acknowledged as the capital of the Broads, with a variety of shops, riverside inns, cafés and a supermarket. For children, a must is BeWILDerwood, an outdoor adventure park located at Horning, just a short drive away. Within easy reach of the coast for an enjoyable day at the sea or visit Horsey Beach (Dec–Feb) and see the colony of grey seals with their pups. Alternatively spend a day in the fine city of Norwich with cathedrals, theatres, museums, cafés, restaurant and array of shops. Visit Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall and gardens (NT). Sprowston 18-hole golf course, 5 miles. There is something for all the family to enjoy. Beach 12 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 600 yards.
