The bustling city of Faro has a lot to offer.

- In the center is the main cathedral Se in the square Largo da Se.

- Close to the cathedral is the Nossa Senhora da Assuncao, now gives shelter to the museum (Museu Municipal / Museu Arqueologico).

- In the chapel of the Baroque Igreja do Carmo church are more than a thousand skulls and bones of monks. Worth seeing!

In the center of Faro you can eat and drink in one of the many cozy restaurants, especially in the pedestrian zone. At the city market (Mercado Municipal) allows you to let go for fresh produce from the area. The market is also offered clothes and handicrafts.

Shopping in Faro is a delight. The popular shopping area is in the Jardim Manuel Bivar and in pedestrian areas, and is full of diverse boutiques. Just outside the center is Forum Algarve, the city's largest shopping mall. It has air conditioning that makes for very pleasant shopping on hot days.

There is always a reason for a festival or event:

For nature lovers, the park Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, a topper with a coastline of about 60 km. A band of islands protects life in the lagoon from the open sea, but the ebb and flow is becoming increasingly influential. In this environment thus wetlands, salt marshes, sea straits and channels. In the lagoon are various types of shellfish and many fish species. Thus birds and other animals are attracted, such as herons, storks and snipe.
