Lovely cottage perfect for couples, great for exploring Anglesey, with Coastal Path, Sea Zoo and South Stack RSPB reserve nearby.. Halcyon Annexe offers spacious and comfortable, single-storey holiday accommodation and is perfect for couples. Situated in the grounds, and detached from the main house, the Annexe has its own private entrance. The village of Moelfre, located on the eastern coast of Anglesey, is on the Anglesey Coastal Path giving access to 125 miles of unspoilt coastline. Other activities include fishing and water sports. Moelfre is well placed for exploring everything that the Isle of Anglesey has to offer including the Sea Zoo, South Stack RSPB reserve and the National Trust’s Plas Newydd. North Wales and Snowdonia are also easily accessible by car. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.. All on ground floor: Living room. Kitchen with breakfast area. 1 double bedroom. Excellent, cosy little detached cottage in grounds of a larger property. The cottage was very clean, lovely and warm with a flexible electric system (ie not storage heaters!) and a water heating system that was truly hotter than a hot thing.
The cottage description was accurate and the owners had provided information about both the cottage and things to do in the area.
It was just a couple of minutes walk to the village, which had a good chippy, excellent pub and a little store selling fresh Scotch (er, Welsh?) rolls. Moelfre was obviously well located for coastal walks and it was easy to reach anywhere on the island on the superb, quiet road system. We always find ourselves back at Trearddur Bay (lovely coastal walk from there to Rhoscolyn and the White Eagle!), South Stack for the views, as well as Newborough Warren and Llanddwyn Island.
If there was one thing I would change it would be to bin-off the indoor TV aerial and go for an outdoor one; even though the transmitter is only 5 miles away it needs all the help it can get.
A very good cottage.
