On the edge of the Peak District and close to the North Yorkshire Moors, this is a great base for those who love the outdoors with many walks from the doorstep, from a gentle stroll to more challenging treks and trails. Other leisure activities available locally include cycling, golf, horse riding and clay pigeon shooting. Almondbury is on the edge of the &lsquo;Last of the Summer Wine&rsquo; country just 4 miles from the popular town of Holmfirth which has a wide variety of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants.
