This detached holiday cottage is tucked away just 4 miles from the North Norfolk Coast and the glorious beaches and pine woods at Wells and Holkham, and is only minutes from the village centre of Walsingham with shop, pub and café. Walsingham has a history of pilgrimage; the abbey, priory ruins and excavated site of the original Holy House bear testimony to former days when religion played an important part in the life of the village. Pleasant walking is to be found locally amidst unspoilt parklands, where a gentle river meanders lazily alongside. Excellent sandy beach, town centre with shops, café and pubs at Wells-next-the-Sea (4 miles), also a picturesque quay and small working harbour, perfect for crabbing and fresh shell fish. For nature lovers there is a wealth of nature and RSPB reserves to visit, or Blakeney Quay and Morston Harbour for boat trips to view the colonies of seals. Excellent walking along the coastal path is available, and further along the coastline the popular, more traditional seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham offer an array of shops, inns, and restaurants, together with Splash Leisure Centre, golf courses, horse riding and excellent wide sandy beaches. Historic homes such as Holkham Hall, the Royal Sandringham Estate and Museum are all within an easy drive. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
