This detached, unique 19th-century stone-built farm mill, complete with water wheel, has been converted to a good standard resulting in lovely, contemporary holiday accommodation. The Old Mill has plenty of history to admire, it forms part of East Newtown, a farmstead situated on the branch of the Routing Burn above the southern banks of the River Coquet. Step outside and access the footpath that leads to Newtown Park, the Forestry Commision walks, the crags and the 1410 foot high summit of Simonside.
