Crockwood Farm is the perfect choice for a relaxing seaside holiday. Each cottage is presented to a very good standard and the playfield located on the top field is great for young and old to let off steam with play equipment and a badminton/volleyball net. The nearby village of Poughill, 1 mile, has a pretty church and popular village inn. Just a short drive from Bude’s historic castle and canal is the vibrant town centre with its vast array of good restaurants and bars, and its glorious sandy beaches and coastal path. In late August Bude is host to the internationally acclaimed annual jazz festival, an event not to be missed. Golf, tennis, horse riding, coastal walking, surfing, indoor ‘Splash’ pool, fishing and mountain boarding are all on offer locally: the list is almost endless so you’ll never be short of things to do! If you can manage to drag yourself away then the pretty fishing villages of Padstow, Port Isaac and Rock are well worth a visit and mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s castle is close by. The wild beauty of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moors is a must for walkers and nature lovers and for a great day out Crealy Adventure Park, Newquay Zoo and the famous Eden Project are all within easy driving distance. For family fun the Big Sheep and Milky Way adventure parks are not to be missed. Shop/post office 1¾ miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
