The properties are all single-storey and are ideal for those with restricted mobility. Beech (ref 27563) and Ash (ref 31298) are each equipped with a single electric bed in the twin bedroom. There is a games room and a utility room on-site. Enjoy superb scenery and walking on the South West Coastal Path and Exmoor National Park. The renowned West Somerset Railway is worth a visit for those with an interest in steam engines, and there are many steam trains operating on the line between Minehead and Watchet. Dunster Castle (National Trust) and village, with its beautiful terraced gardens, deer park and mill will make for an interesting day out, as well as Porlock Weir. There are beaches at Blue Anchor, Dunster and Minehead for all to enjoy. It is equipped to a high standard and well maintained with separate car parking spaces for each of the four bungalows.
Access to the property easy via a very short unmade road which causes no problem. The bathroom / toilet is suitable for disabled people and has a very good shower. The kitchen is somewhat mall but has all the necessary equipment and a good cooker and microwave for those who wish to self cater. We found it more than adequate for our needs and ate out only once. The view from the back of the bungalow over the Bristol channel is spectacular and the West Somerset Heritage Railway with its steam locomotives runs in the distance.
There are many interesting places to visit in the area including Watchet, Dunster and Dunster Castle, Nether Stowey to see Samuel Taylor Coleridge's cottage, Minehead, Porlock and Porlock Weir. There is also a Cider Farm nearby. There are good clear coastal walking routes and the countryside of Exmoor is beautiful.
This is an excellent area for an interesting holiday and Primrose Hill Cottages provide a first class base.
