These semi-detached holiday cottages sit in a rural location beside the North Cornish Coast on the owner’s working beef farm. The farm has walks through the woods to Coombe Valley and visitors are able to view the farm at certain times, by arrangement. There are sandy beaches including Duckpool and Sandymouth, coastal walks, and mountain boarding, surfing, golf, fishing and horse riding nearby. Bude has beaches renowned for surfing and the town centre has good restaurants and bars. The fishing villages of Padstow, Port Isaac and Rock are worth a visit. Dartmoor, Exmoor and the Bodmin Moors are a must for both walkers and cyclists. There are numerous NT properties in the area, as well as the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. Hartland Abbey is worth a visit and Clovelly with its quaint cobbled streets and harbour is a must. The Big Sheep and Milky Way adventure parks are close by and the famous Eden Project is an easy drive. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
Had a great week staying at Forda Farm Barn cottage. Really nice place, had everything we needed and Anne (the owner) even provided essentials (milk, tea bags, coffee, cleaning stuff) so we didn't have to go shopping as soon as we arrived (lovely touch, thanks).
It's a bit out of the way so a car is a must, but it's so worth the journey. Loved staying here, great base for both Cornwall and Devon!
