About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 7)

Located down a quiet tree lined lane in the centre of Kingussie, this stone built Victorian townhouse offers good holiday accommodation. The good choice of living areas make a great space for relaxing after a day’s sightseeing, while the kitchen and adjacent conservatory with woodburner allow for convivial dining and entertaining throughout the year. Just 11 miles south of the popular destination of Aviemore, quieter Kingussie is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Cairngorm National Park and is only a stones throw from all the local tourist attractions. For those seeking invigorating activities experience climbing, rambling, pony trekking or water and winter sports. Kingussie’s challenging 18-hole hillside golf course offers spectacular views of the national park, while those seeking highland peace and tranquillity there are glorious riverside walks, fishing and bird watching; or visit the ruins of Ruthven Barracks - a pleasant country walk from the town. Situated at the foothills of the Cairngorm and Monadhliath Mountain Ranges, it is a great location for walkers, and with plenty of native flora and fauna in the area it is a paradise for wildlife lovers. 2 miles from Kingussie is the RSPB Insh Marshes Reserve, one of the finest wetlands conservation areas in the UK where many events are organized throughout the summer. Alternatively, experience the wonderful Highland Wildlife Park with its tigers and polar bears, or the award winning Highland Folk Museum at Kingussie and Newtonmore. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
