This beautiful recently renovated apartment in the heart of the heart of Edinburgh's lucrative Royal Mile. Fabulous 2 bedroom apartment, renovated to a luxurious high standard.

The apartment can accommodate a maximum of 6 persons. There are two bedrooms; these can be made up to be either double or twin rooms and a double sofa bed in the lounge. The apartment consists of 2 bathrooms.

There is gas central heating.

My apartment is on the first floor of an 18th century tenement with great views across the city. Jackson's Close was named after members of a family called Jackson, this close has no significant history, though the classical scholar William Nichols lived here. It is part if a series of courtyards and alleyways off the Royal Mile. With a unique location, this is the perfect base for your stay in Edinburgh.

The castle is just a few minutes away from the apartment, and the National Gallery, St Giles Cathedral, National Museum of Scotland are all within 5 minutes walking distance.

Perfect base during our trip to the Fringe!

The location of the apartment could not have been any better - just a few minutes walk from the station and right at the heart of the many wonderful things to do and see in Edinburgh. It is absolutely perfect for a stay during the Fringe - within about 20 seconds you can get from the quiet comfort of the sofa right into the chaos and extravagance of the hundreds of performers, singers and dancers on the Royal Mile. Given its close proximity to all the goings on during the Fringe, the apartment is surprisingly quiet. You can definitely still hear the frivolity but it's a nice kind of background noise encouraging you to go back out and enjoy some more of the action :)

The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. There was plenty tea/coffee/sugar, and Brian had kindly stocked the fridge with milk and bottles of water.

Definitely worthy of five stars!

Fabulous modern apartment in the perfect location for exploring Edinburgh

We stayed 4 nights in this apartment with our two daughters, ages 10 and 12. The apartment is right off the Royal Mile, which is the heart of Edinburgh sightseeing. The apartment is on two floors, and the upper floor (kitchen/living area/bath) has skylights with a beautiful view of the rooftops on the next street - very striking! The lower floor has two small bedrooms and a bath. The bedrooms are small, but you really only need them for sleeping, so it doesn't really matter. Brian was there to meet us when we arrived, and was very helpful in getting us situated. Be aware that this "heart of old town" location brings a bit of street noise, and kept our kids up at night a little, but it was worth it to be right on the Royal Mile. It meant that we could easily come back to the apartment to relax between activities, which was a bit help when traveling with kids. The bathrooms are gorgeous - much nicer than we have at home!!
