This beautiful recently renovated apartment in the heart of the heart of Edinburgh's lucrative Royal Mile. Fabulous 2 bedroom apartment, renovated to a luxurious high standard.

The apartment can accommodate a maximum of 6 persons. There are two bedrooms; these can be made up to be either double or twin rooms and a double sofa bed in the lounge. The apartment consists of 2 bathrooms.

My apartment is on the first floor of an 18th century tenement with great views across the city. Jackson's Close was named after members of a family called Jackson, this close has no significant history, though the classical scholar William Nichols lived here. It is part if a series of courtyards and alleyways off the Royal Mile. With a unique location, this is the perfect base for your stay in Edinburgh.

Beautifully updated two level apartment on the historic Royal Mile - one of a kind location.

As so many others have said, you want to stay here if you want to explore Edinburgh’s old town and Royal Mile. The apartment is on a close/alley that is literally on the Royal Mile. Despite the proximity to tourist activity and night life we were not bothered by noise and felt nicely secluded in the apartment. Just steps away are the Edinburgh castle, St Giles cathedral, Greyfriars Kirkyard (with the grave that inspired Voldemort’s character), underground tours, and surprisingly good food for such a touristy area. Brian is a flexible, helpful and outstanding host who gave us excellent recommendations on food. The apartment itself is comfortable and clean. It is a very pleasant place to relax, though most likely you will be out seeing the sights for most of your stay. Don’t forget to visit Rosslyn Chapel if you have time during your visit. (It’s 7 miles south of Edinburgh but has absolutely incredible stonework that is worth the excursion.) Back to the apartment - the place is a winner. Go there.

Wonderful!

Brian was an amazing host, and so friendly and kind. He even helped us make dinner reservations to watch the football match. The apartment was clean, neat and so comfortable. We were a family of four with two teenage boys, and it was perfect!

The location was amazing and easy walks to restaurants, trains station etc. I'll definitely stay again when in town!

Immaculate, fabulous location

Traveled with my husband and two teenagers...comfortable space. The apt has clearly been renovated recently as everything appears brand new! Brian is lovely, helpful and easily contacted. Apt is central to everything but we didn’t find it particularly noisy. Would absolutely recommend!

Great Location on Royal Mile

As previous reviews noted, the location of the flat is on an alley just off the the center of the Royal Mile. 10 min walk from Waverly Station, 15 min to Holyrood or the Castle, 20 min to Grassmarket. Brian’s communication and responsiveness was excellent. We loved the little touches Brian provided like Espresso and coffee, bottled water, milk, washer detergent pods, and even shortbread! We would definitely stay again. The only caveat is that you may hear revelers in the alley, so bring earplugs. But what a small price to pay for such location in the heart of the city. Thank you for everything, Brian!

Brilliant location

This is a great little apartment - fabulous location on Royal Mile. Brian has thought of everything and the finish is very high end. I stayed with a friend and our two teenage daughters but the apartment would be ideal for couples, families or groups of friends.
