We stayed for 2 nights the last week of Aug & we absolutely loved it here! It looks just like the pictures but even better. The apt was so clean when we arrived & I've never had views like this from any hotel I've ever stayed at in NYC. And staying in an apt was so much better than a hotel. We really felt like New Yorkers! I can't wait to go back. The view is absolutely breathtaking by day or night!!
If I could go back tomorrow, I would! This condo was a perfect fit for my husband, me, and our two kids. It was so conveniently located to everything -- an easy walk to Central Park (for an 8YO and a 5YO) and close to so many wonderful restaurants and shops and sights! And the view?! The view was breathtaking...really just spectacular! Also spectacular: the large terrace which I'm pretty sure was larger than my first apartment out of grad school! Vaj was super responsive to all of our inquiries and Bella was so warm and welcoming, showing us around the condo when we arrived. After 4 days, no one in my family wanted to leave! We will most definitely return on our next trip to the city. Thanks for having us.
Location offered wonderful views of the Empire State Building, which is beautifully lit up at night. The accommodations were very comfortable and apartment was close to subway to get to Manhattan sites. On a return trip, I will definitely want to stay here again - maybe in the Spring or Fall to be able to sit in outdoor patio, overlooking Manhattan and Hudson River/NJ. Bella was great - a keeper!
We loved the amazing views from this penthouse apartment. The building is safe, apartment very clean and close to good restaurants. Close to the Hudson River, Times Square and Central Park.
Kitchen has all amenities needed and bathrooms have plenty of fluffy towels and washcloths. The terrace is incredible, with lounge seating and a dining table and chairs. Almost unheard of in NYC!
We enjoyed a hot breakfast at La Bergamote across street, as well as their yummy croissants. Also had great meals at K Rico and El Centro, just a couple of blocks away.
After long days exploring the city, we loved coming back to the comfort of this apartment and admiring the view. Would recommend this to anyone visiting NYC!
What a fantastic residence + location. Family of (4) had plenty of room and the adjacent roof deck with the views of the Hudson and the Manhattan skyline was so engaging. We walked to the subway, Central Park, Times Square + the Theater District. The location is convenient to everything and had a great 5 days. The owners are wonderful and everything was handled very professionally. I highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to experience New York / Manhattan and feel like they are living like a local.
The overall experience was great! I was a bit apprehensive about having to say we were guests of the Wellington's and having any of our family who visited having to do the same but it really turned out to be a non issues as the doormen were friendly and never asked where we were going.
Upon arrival, Bella met us and showed us around and that was it- we never needed to contact her again as we had no issues. The selling point is the outside terrace for sure! The views of this apt were amazing and we would definitely stay here again. The location was perfect as well! Inside of the apartment was tidy and stocked with your basics. While a bit on the small side ( but med to large for NYC standards) it was just right for us as it had 2 bedrooms and 2 baths- which is a luxury in NYC!
As far as any areas of improvement, there are very few. The air conditioner in the master bedroom didn't work well
( it would only go on for a short time then go out) but the main one in the living room worked fine. The apt could use a fresh coat of paint as the walls are a bit scuffed up. And the last area of improvement really doesnt have anything to do with the apt itself but the hallway on the Penthouse level needs a lot of tlc; the walls need painting and the rugs in the hallway need to be ripped out and replaced as they were in pretty bad shape and smelled a bit. Again, this is not necessarily in the owner's control so it shouldnt reflect on the apt itself. It was suprising because the main floor's lobby and reception area was beautiful and spacious.
Overall, a great experience! We even hosted a Birthday dinner with our family on the terrace for our son while we were there. Just be sure to let Vaj know upon booking if you plan to have guests over even if they are not sleeping there. We will be back for sure!
