Ideally situated on the banks of Upper Lough Erne and with direct access to the Shannon-Erne Waterway, Foalies Bridge Number 1 offers the holiday maker a peaceful, quiet and relaxing stay with all the benefits of being located close to the waters edge. 

 

The dormer bungalow is newly built and fitted out to a very high spec level. The bungalow has four bedrooms and three bathrooms (two en-suite and a third wheelchair accessible downstairs)

Bedroom 1 - double bedroom with ensuite located upstairs

Bedroom 2 - twin bedroom with ensuite located upstairs

Bedroom 3 - double bedroom downstairs (wheelchair accessible)

Bedroom 4 - twin bedroom downstairs (wheelchair accessible)

The bathroom downstairs is shared between the two downstairs bedrooms and has a stanard bath with electric shower over it..

 

This lovely house has a large landing upstairs offering fabulous views of the surrounding Geopark and wetlands. The house comes equipped with most modern mod cons including Wi-Fi.

 

Also importantly the bungalow is wheelchair friendly (downstairs).  PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BATHROOM IS A STANDARD BATHROOM AND HAS NOT BEEN ADAPTED IN ANY WAY FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS.

THE LOCATION

Foalies Bridge is a private gated community with a very well maintained common area, including its own moorings for the boat or fishing enthusiast.  The estate itself is only 3 miles from the town of Belturbet, well known for its fishing and water sports such as rowing and kayaking. Belturbet itself and Foalies Bridge are situated in the only International Geopark with protected wildlife sanctuaries offering the visitor many varied walks and wildlife spotting opportunities.

 

Nearby well known amenities in the vicinity are the Slieve Russell Championship golf course, the Scouts centre at Castle Saunderson, the Belturbet parkland golf course, Crom Estate, the Marble Arch Caves, Florence Court, the Cavan Burren, Breffni Park, St Tiernach's Park and the Shannon Erne Waterway.

 

Please note Gas usage is charged separately at cost.

 

Being located in a protected wildlife sanctuary we would like the visitor to  enjoy and help preserve the area for the next generation, so guided wildlife and fishing tours can be booked separately.  Fishing boats with engine can also be booked separately.  Bicycles can also be hired locally.

 

Please note that this home is not suitable for hen or stag parties.

Clean, modern house in quiet location

This holiday home is very much off the beaten path, lovely and quiet, yet with all the modern conveniences. The hosts Kevin and Charmaine were very helpful. The house was clean and spacious, kitchen was great for cooking and entertaining.
