3 bedrooms plus bunk recess, 2 bathrooms, for 6 to 8 people

Recently renovated to a high standard, this apartment provides very comfortable self catering accommodation in the picturesque village of Les Praz. The spacious apartment has been furnished in an elegant yet relaxed style. The living room has 2 comfortable sofa`s with dining table seating 8, TV, DVD. This also provides access to a very well equipped kitchen with bar style counter.There is a shower room and a bathroom with a lovely deep bath great after a day of any activity, both with WC. The large garden to the side is available for use( ideal for BBQ`s in the better weather!). The nearest ski lift is 100m away and a stunning golf course is opposite the apartment. Parking is to the side. There is easy access for all sporting activities in the area.

Winter and Summer activities are to be found in the Chamonix valley. The skiing is regarded as the world`s finest and ranges from nursery slopes to the most extreme. Suitable for all abilities. There is plenty of off piste to challenge the more experienced. The ultimate trip is the Valley Blanche - a days skiing on the glacier with stunning views (hire a guide if needs be)

Summer activities include, walking, tennis, parapenting; mountain biking, climbing and golf. All are easily accessible.

There is a stunning 18 hole golf course in Lez Praz with a superb golf house a mere 200m from the apartment. This also boasts an excellent restaurant and the views are spectacular.

To make it shorter, we will come back

We spent a wonderful week in Lesley apartment during winter season with friends : 4 adults plus 3 youths between 9 and 13.

Room are tiny but confortable and the boys loved lazing around in the sofa or in their double deck beds. 2 vast bathroom, well equipped with ample hot water capacities. Large space for kitchen and living room brings friendliness and good atmosphere. Kitchen is very well equipped (even for French cookers :-)), we appreciated that all furnitures were of utmost quality. We were lucky to have a 1m snow depth in the garden that made it a creative playground for snowballs and treasure huntings.

Everything was well organized and prepared with guidelines to rule the house. Lesley for any matter remains responsive to any request.

To make it shorter, we will come back, and not only because Chamonix ski resort is the best.

Great Perfect place to ski chamoix

The property is a fantastic place to stay if you want to ski/snowboard chamoix. Lesley (the owner) is very good at replying and answering any questions that you may have quickly and obviously has a great deal of pride in the apartment. The accommodation is very warm when the heaters are on and has a number of quirky things to make it feel like home like British plugs and British TV. We only ate out on 1 evening and enjoyed being a group in the apartment as it was spacious enough to sit around the table, play board games and watch DVDs. The village of Le praz has a small shop but it is expensive compared to the super U in Chamoix, the bus stop to get to Chamoix is virtually opposite the apartment and is free with a ski pass! The Lift of Ferge is also about a 1 minute walk from the apartment. Literally opposite!

Overall we had a great time and would really recommend this apartment!

Superb apartment close to everything

This apartment close to Chamonix and the Flegere ski lift seemed too good to be true but the apartment was one of the best we have ever stayed in. It was clearly a little home from home for our hosts.

My wife and I bagged the larger double bedroom, because I'm 6' 2" and the smaller double room wouldn't have allowed me to stretch out but it fit our 2 friends perfectly. Our 2 children aged 11 and 15 had plenty of room in the lower bunk room.

There were 2 bathrooms with 2 showers, so you could divide the toilet areas and it also cut down on the queuing for the loos. All very nicely finished and always with an abundance of hot water.

The apartment had electric radiators in every room and all had timers so you could set them to come on a half hour before you got home to arrive back to warm rooms.

The living / dining / kitchen area had 2 big sofas with seating for 6 and a very decent TV / DVD / sound system with an iPhone charger, so we had a few evenings watching films and always had some music on. Cleverly our UK-based owners had wired up 3-pin plug sockets in most rooms so we didn't have to mess with converters for our various devices. There was also WiFi which was very handy for navigation / weather forecasting / Youtube for the kids.

The dining table sat 8 and we cooked in every night except 2. The kitchen was well appointed, our only bugbear was that the electric cooker was a little slow when you're used to cooking with gas.

We ate out in the Rhododendron hotel just across the car park and the food was excellent. The place was a little noisy but it made for good apres-ski with Desperado on draft! A very friendly pizza restaurant about half a mile away on the main Chamonix road was also very good and our Scottish friend had some banter as the France / Scotland rugby was on that night.

The Flegere lift was about 200 yards away so a very easy walk even in ski boots. Ravanel ski hire was right next to the lift and gave us 10% discount because of where we staying. Les Grand Montets and Domaine Le Balme were 5 and 10 minute drives away but a few times our friends finished early and got the bus back. They were so regular that it was never a problem.

Les Praz village was about 1/4 of a mile away and the little shop had fresh croissants and enough basics to get by for a day. For everything else you needed the Super U in Chamonix.

I'd stay here again without a doubt.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed the stay!!! Sadly there is no gas in the building so I had to get an electric cooker. The oven is fan assisted and very quick. I too am used to gas at home but you get used to it.

Great Ski Accommodation

We thorougly enjoyed our stay in Les Praz. The apartment was clean, warm and comfortable.when we arrived. The layout is a bit unusual, but is perfectly practical, and the apartment is equipped with everything you are likely to need.

It is only a short walk to the Flegere lift, so skiing is possible without using any transport. The bus stops for the other ski areas and for Chamonix town are also close by, so it is easy to get around the valley if you don't have your own transport. For non-skiers, there are lovely walks nearby, including a pleasant walk into Chamonix. The village of Les Praz also has a few shops and restaurants.

The road outside can be quite busy during the day, but the apartment is surprisingly quiet and there is very little traffic at night to disturb you.

We found the owners very informative and helpful and we would be happy to stay at the apartment again.

Homely apartment in great location

Our family of 6 had a lovely week in this extremely comfortable and homely apartment. It is situated very conveniently within walking distance of the ski lift as well as the small village shops, which meant we did not have to use our car at all during the week we stayed here. The only negative I would say is the busy road which can be noisy at times and is also difficult to cross because of traffic, especially when walking in ski boots on the ice! Nevertheless, I would still recommend staying here.

Owner's Response: The Apartment is located on the main route from Chamonix up the valley to Argentiere and beyond. There is as a result an excellent bus service up and down the valley and a train near by if you do not have a car. The traffic can be busy at times, generally coinciding with ski lifts!!! Crossing any road in Chamonix can be an issue as there is not the same regard for marked crossings as in the UK, but in fairness we have never experienced a real problem with this and walking in ski boots on snow etc can always be tricky!!! Thankfully there is not always ice on the ground either as an added hazard! You can buy rubber heals to put on ski boots when you are walking which is great! most ski shops sell them and they can be bought on line, a must for any ski kit... I always aim to make the stay of all my guests as comfortable as possible and like home from home.

Home From Home

My wife and I are in our 70's and stayed for three weeks, we were joined for ten days by our daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren (21 and 15 years). We had a great holiday and the 15 year old said it was the best family holiday he had ever had. The apartment was very comfortable and we found there was plenty of room for the six of us. There was plenty to do for all of us: walking for all of us and White water boarding and paragliding for the younger members. We hardly used our car and took advantage of the train to get back from Chamonix if we had a lot of shopping, otherwise we walked there and back. Lovely mountain walks on your doorstep and the garden was great for eating outside. We did not mind lack of TV, read and played games, watched videos and listened to CD's supplied. Plenty of good and inexpensive

restaurants nearby. One disadvantage was lack of curtains/blinds in the bedrooms, but this could be resolved by closing the shutters. Provision of Wi Fi would be an advantage, but it was available at the Hotel Rhodedendron across the road.

We are looking at providing WiFi There are curtains in 2 bedrooms , but light in nature the back bedroom is actually difficult to curtain because of the heater , but the shutters can be closed with ease from inside for this room. Most visitors tend to leave the front ( facing the road) shutters closed as it is very bright with them open!! Any comments are always welcome

Les Praz is a beautiful village 1.5 KM from Chamonix town centre. Visitors come for the world renowned skiing along with mountaineering, walking and golf.The fabulous 18 hole course in Lez Praz is across the road. La Flegere ski station is a 100m away and there is easy access to all other ski lifts in the valley. Access can be by car or the excellent bus service. Good food and drink is a short walk away. Local amenities provide all essentials with the nearest large supermarket being in Chamonix. This is a truly international resort of repute.
