About Karen Wyatt
My Grand Father Rendel started the boat hire company in 1948. It has been been operating longer than any other on the canals. In fact, well over 68 years and we are on the 4th Generation. Now the oldest hire company on the canals, the company is still operated by the Wyatt family and our staff. We offer a wealth of experience and give a warm and friendly service, as standard, with special attention for our overseas visitors and novices. We are a pet friendly company, ideal for walking holidays and visiting Staffordshires Heritage and the surrounding areas. Our picturesque boatyard is in Stone, a small and compact market town that is easily accessible by road and rail, and that is at the centre of the canal network, offering a wide choice of routes.

What makes this House Boat unique
This is an ideal holiday for getting to know the family again, having to talk and play games. Most of the time phone signals are intermittent along with wifi, 4G is on its way to improve things. I do take my mobile devices along on holiday as I still have to run the company and generallly most pubs along the way let you log in to their wifi. It can also be a lovely romantic get away, sitting in the middle of the country side watching the boats pass by whilst drinking your well earn cuppa or something stronger in the bow. Or it can be a great group getaway.

Boat was very well equipped, and very comfortable.
Did the Birmingham Ring in 10 Days on this boat and loved the contrasting experience of the different landscapes afforded from industrial to countryside, enjoyed the adventure.
Every day you and your floating home will see new sights. You pass various historical buildings for example Shugborough, bottle kilns, aquaducts, plus Feature places like Wedgewood, Burley Pottery and the Potteries. Travel through long tunnels, traversing the country side through lock systems and through rivers.
