About Kay Gonzalez

Born in Germany, raised in Canary Islands, went to college in Barcelona, Cologne and Bonn, lived the last 10 years in Chicago. Now, I'm back to Canary Islands, to the breeze at the beach, hiking the mountains, boating to hidden beaches.

I enjoy meeting new people, showing my friends and guests the island, taking them to places they would never find by themselves. My goal is to have the most beautiful apartments on the island; my philosophy is that our guests are travelers, not tourists; my motto is *authentic, individual, exclusive*

Why Kay Gonzalez chose North Tenerife

Our goal at Alberto Dorner properties is to help our guests experience the local cultures, lifestyles and environments: climb the volcano, hike the hidden path, taste the secret wines in small wineries, have authentic island meals in that back patio in the mountains that only locals know about, chat with islanders and find out about their lives. We want our guests to discover Tenerife in a relaxed, safe, adventurous atmosphere.

community: We are part of the local community and want to give back. We hire local staff, work with local contractors and businesses and shop locally. We want to preserve the community and help improve people’s lives. We promote sustainable tourism, with fewer guests but more involved, interested in land and people, respectful with local traditions and culture.

environment: Our properties are located on the north side of the island, an area with amazing nature, ranging from rainforests in the Anaga mountains to the desert in the Teno nature preserve, from the lava fields on the Teide crater to the volcanic beaches and basalt cliffs on the ocean. We are committed to preserve our environment for future generations, using environment friendly cleaning products and amenities and trying to have a low impact.

Appartement haut de gamme avec piscine

Superbes vacances de 3 semaines avec notre fille de 8 ans !

La location était conforme à la description voir même mieux ! car à notre arrivée, il y avait une coupe de fruits frais, une bouteille d'eau fraiche, une bouteille de vin de la région et des sacs de glaçons dans le congélateur. De plus, nous avons eu droit aux chaussons et peignoirs comme à l'hôtel et le ménage était fait une fois par semaine : que du bonheur...

Appartement très propre, très lumineux et calme si vos voisins le sont aussi...(Il faut savoir que toute la résidence est majoritairement occupé par des allemands et des espagnols)

La vue sur la mer et le Mont Teide est splendide !

Le propriétaire est venu nous rendre visite, pour nous souhaiter la bienvenue avec une bouteille du vignoble de son père, il nous a donné de supers conseils pour les visites et si vous le souhaitez, sa femme peut s'occuper de toutes vos réservations si vous ne voulez pas vous embêter avec cela.

La location est très bien située car c'est vraiment dans le nord de lîle que se trouvent les plus beaux villages et villes. De plus si vous avez des enfants, il y a le 2 ème parc le plus grand d'Europe situé à 20 min en voiture de l'appartement. A savoir : le soleil est moins présent dans le nord que le sud mais cela suffit pour apprécier la piscine (25°) sur la terrasse.

Une location de ce type est une alternative de choix pour ceux qui ne veulent pas les gros hôtels du sud et au soleil à tout prix !

Die Vorbereitung/ Abwicklung ging zügig. Antworten kamen sehr schnell( Danke Elena😊)

Das Haus ist top ausgestattet, Lage , Aussicht , Größe des Hauses absolut genial!

Wir haben selten so eine umfangreiche Küchenausstattung vorgefunden....es ist an alles gedacht. Angefangen von einem ersten Überlebenspaket mit Toast, Butter , Marmelade , Kaffee , Milch, Obst , Wasser und Wein war echt ein Mega Pluspunkt .

Kapselautomat für Kaffee , Wasserkocher, Pürierstab, Thermoskanne.....und so viel mehr....

Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Inneneinrichtung geschmackvoll , SZ und Bäder perfekt.

Die Terrasse ist mehr als großzügig und mit hochwertigen Holzmöbeln ausgestattet ..... Wir haben nichts, aber auch gar nichts vermisst.

Das nette Örtchen Icod hat Charme und bietet einiges zu entdecken.

Wir empfehlen ein Auto, da im Norden ( zumindest zu unserer Reisezeit) das Wetter eher unbeständig ist. So kann man die Stände im Süden der Insel entdecken. Alles ist gut erreichbar .

Alles in allem: ein gelungener Urlaub und das Haus ist zu empfehlen. Wir kommen sicher mal wieder.

Toller Ausblick, schöne Einrichtung

Schönes Appartement mit tollem Ausblick aufs Meer und auf den Teide. Neuwertige Einrichtung. Herzlicher Empfang trotz 3 stündiger verspätung. Appartements sind hellhörig.

5 min zum Strand mit dem Auto

Cafes und Restaurants in icod waren eher enttäuschend, besser nach garachico fahren.

Villa on a hillside at Playa San Marcos in Icod de los vinos (Tenerife). Spacious terrace with breathtaking views overlooking the whole lush north coast of the island. Villa located in a quiet residential area with only 6 villas. The beach is just 5 minutes down the road, where you find Tapas, local food and drinks at beach restaurants.

Icod de los vinos is well known for its vines, its historical, colonial town center and for its amazing surroundings.

The Teide national park is just 20 min away from Villa Costa Azul and is perfect for all levels of hiking with its unique flora and topography. Other day-excursions for hiking are the humid and lush laurisilva forest in Anaga or the dry, coastal Teno park. Further excursions on the island include the capital Santa Cruz (shopping), La Laguna (Unesco world heritage center) or the nearby historic town of La Orotava.

Enjoy sport activities: golf, hiking, paragliding, boating, fishing, scuba-diving, surf, horse-riding, etc.
