About the property CHARMING COTTAGE WITH STUNNING COUNTRYSIDE VIEWS AND HOT TUB IDEAL FOR A SHORT BREAK OR ROMANTIC GETAWAY - MINIMUM 2 NIGHT STAY This wonderful period property was renovated in spring 2015 and is situated in a peaceful tranquil location within walking distance to all local amenities. Located in the pretty village of Kirkconnel only 2 miles from the ancient Royal Burgh of Sanquhar in the wonderful region of Dumfries & Galloway. The area is a paradise for walkers mountain bikers and hikers with 200 miles of coast line and the Southern Upland Way to explore which runs from Portpatrick in the west to Cockburnspath in the east. River salmon fishing is available on the River Nith. Golfers are spoilt for choice with the Royal Troon and Turnberry to the north and Sanquhar Thornhill and Southerness in the south. The vibrant city of Glasgow is only an hour away by train with its excellent shopping and leisure facilities and the beautiful city of Edinburgh is just a little further afield. Leisure facilities: hot tub. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 king-size and 1 twin. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge/diner/kitchen: spacious open-plan room with smart TV and French doors leading out to garden. Kitchen area with electric oven and hob fridge freezer dishwasher washing machine Tassimo espresso machine and microwave. Outside: enclosed private decked patio area with seating and magnificent views hot tub private front garden and large enclosed shared courtyard to the rear of the property. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen towels electric central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. 1 dog welcome. Location: shops pubs & restaurants within walking distance.
