Great location, minutes from Harrods, Museums and Hyde Park.
Lots of light, well furnished and great location.
My husband and I stayed here for 1 week. The room is small but works. Everything you need in a small room. Yes it has a small table but it works. The bed isn't that comfortable but not bad. The worst part for us was the noise. The windows are very thin so even when you close the windows you can still hear the traffic and people talking on the street. This is a non smoking building and what happens is that you have all these people going outside, smoking and talking. So 2am, 3am you hear people talking. If the room had a fan to drown out the outside noise, it might help. It was warm when we were there so we had to open the windows. We didn't sleep well.
Good location with everything you need for a short stay. As mentioned by others storage is a bit limited, but it would be worth pointing out to guests that there are drawers in the bed base.
We enjoyed our stay in this cozy studio apartment. It is very small but had everything we needed and was comfortable. There was construction across the street, which made it a bit noisy and not as picturesque a location as we had imagined. However, the apartment is close to the South Kensington underground train station, museums, great shopping and dining, so overall the location was fabulous and made it a very good value.
The whole Chelsea Cloisters complex is very tired. The carpets and corridors were stained and pulling away at the sides. There are a number of "interesting" people (mostly women) coming and going at all times of day. The room itself was tiny, as in you couldn't even shut the bathroom door as the toilet was in the way. the bed just fit in the room and there was nowhere to put our suitcases. The bed was very uncomfortable and the springs actually poked you in the back. We were there in Summer and the room was very hot and stuffy. The only way to cool the room was to leave the windows open however the street below was used as a race track all night. Also, there is a major construction site over the road which generated significant noise from 7:30am every morning. Overall, we would not recommend staying here.
Stayed 8 nights. This is a region of town in which I have stayed before. Close to the underground and grocery. Very convenient. Okay for 1 person.
The room does have two chairs and a small table but the chairs are not comfortable for long use and the table is very small. I found myself sitting on the bed most of the time which was not best. When traveling I can manage w/ very little, but I think the room would be greatly enhanced w/ a couple of new chairs and a table for which I could work.
Not much in the way of storage space. One piece for hanging clothes but nothing with drawers for storage. The bed was labeled as a UK King but marginally larger than an American double bed. For two tall Americans, my wife and I, it was challenging when it came to sleeping. We did not use any of the kitchen appliances but for someone ambitious to undertake any cooking initiatives it would have been more than adequate. Overall it was clean and we'd probably try it again in the future however for us, two beds would have been better. The two block walk to the train station was easy and there were numerous places to eat. On Monday, we finally realized how close we were to Knightsbridge Road and Harrods's - should have investigated sooner.
Chelsea is one of the nicest areas in London with plenty of history and character. The flat is close to bars and restaurants that the locals frequent and is walking distance to the Natural History Museum, the V&A and Harrods. There is a farmers' market on Saturdays on the Duke of York Square and the Saatchi Gallery is always a fashionable spot. Starbucks, supermarket, a number of up-market restaurants and bars are all within walking distance to the flat.
