Newly built apartment within the exclusive Marina Park complex overlooking Lagos, its marinas and beaches, including Meia-Praia beach (10 mins walk). Within walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants and the historic heart of old Lagos. Ideally situated for golfers with Palmares, Le Meridian Pinta and Boa Vista golf clubs only 5-10 mins drive away. The complex has 90 hectares of spacious landscaped gardens complete with waterfall and swimming pool complex, 2 tennis courts, children's play area and poolside bar which serves a full range of meals. Our agent lives in the same block. He meets all guests and provides keys including a remote control for the underground car park. If necessary, he will meet and return guests at Faro Airport for a small charge. The apartment includes a very large balcony, shaded by roller blinds. A lift serves the apartment from the underground car park to outside the apartment door.

Notes:
Along with chairs there is a table on the balcony and a foldaway clothes line. There is an iron and ironing board in the kitchen. The air conditioning units are operated by remote control handsets and double as heating units. Bedrooms have spacious built-in wardrobes and plenty of drawer space. The dining table can be extended to accommodate more diners if necessary. Our agent is available at all times to deal with queries and also manages all necessary linen and towel changes and general cleaning.

Great apartment, easy location, apartment complex has a lovely pool area

Everything we needed in an apartment for our short stay in Lagos. My favourite part was the south-facing balcony with full sun all afternoon! The property manager was very helpful and welcoming.

The only cons:

1) There was a bit of a communication lag before we arrived when I realized we didn't have the property manager's contact info, so it was just a bit stressful. Definitely make sure all arrival details are firm well in advance.

2) We found the bed a bit uncomfortable. It's partly because my husband is 6'4" and it was small for him, and that we both have bad backs. For most people I'm sure it would've been fine.

Owner's Response: The comment about the communication lag has omitted the fact that these details were emailed to the client on 19th April at 10.16 - that was three days before their arrival date. The initial request for the apartment was made on 11th April so there was not much time given to arrange everything. Regarding the comments about the bed: at no stage was it mentioned that the client's husband was 6.4! I am disappointed that they did not find the bed comfortable and will take that comment on board

Excellent appartment

This appartment was even better than the description given. Large and roomy and set in a well maintained, clean and friendly complex. Two bedrooms and bathrooms and a large balcony resulted in a feeling of great space and room for two small children and two adults. A welcome pack was provided and the presence of an extremely helpful representative on site very reassuring. The owner was a delight to deal with and provided lots of information.The pool complex was excellent for children and very safe within a secure area. A supermarket on site provided fresh bread in the morning and all the basics. A larger supermarket was about a ten minute walk, albeit down a steep hill. The marina and old town of Lagos were a ten minute walk also. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to famiies with young children.

More than we hoped for !!

This apartment was more than we hoped for, the photos do not show how spacious it really is, a great living space and excellent balcony. The property was furnished with all the comforts of home and showed no signs of wear and tear. The location was great, the complex has a lovely large pool which felt very secure for kids. The marina and its facilities is 10mins walk down a steep hill, perfectly manageable, and the main town another 5mins even with young kids in tow. If you're too lazy to walk back after a fine meal taxis are less than €4. So many places to choose from that in our 10 days we only sampled a few. Our kids had so much fun at the pool and just walking around the marina and old town that we didn't bother with trips but there were plenty on offer that we will investigate on our next visit. YES we will be going back it's only a matter of when.

Safe, Relaxing, and Sociable Algarve Experience

Clean, superbly maintained and welcoming apartment just 10mins walk from the beach and the picturesque town of Lagos, with its excellent restaurants and sights. With paddling pool, main pool and tennis facilities in the complex there was ample scope for keeping the kids entertained without leaving the grounds!

Lagos also ideally situated for those with a car for exploring Sagres to the West, or visiting the waterpark at Lagoa to easily keep the entire family more than well-entertained for the day.

Ultimately had a fun, relaxing and totally stress-free holiday, which I did not want to end...

Would highly recommend this stay for families seeking a safe environment and a fun holiday experience, or indeed for younger and older couples alike who are seeking a relaxing holiday either lazing in the sun or sight-seeing, with great dining and sociable nightlife opportunities less than 15mins walk away.

Lagos is situated in the unspoiled Western Algarve 76 km. from Faro Airport, journey time approximately 50 minutes by car. Lagos is a typical Portugese fishing town with well developed amenities and a new award winning Marina. The town has an excellent range and variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Lagos railway station is situated beside the Marina within walking distance of Marina Park. The town is surrounded by beaches including the famous Meia-Praia beach which stretches for almost 5 km., and golf courses such as Palmares, Boa Vista and Penina. Forty five minutes drive away are Vilamoura, Val do Lobo, Quinta do Lago and San Lorenco golf courses. A short drive to the west lies Portugal's West Coast National Park with Cape St. Vincent and the Port of Sagre from which Portugese sailors set out for the new world.

The rent includes cleaning before and after each visit, electricity and gas (except for lets of three months or longer) and all linen and towels (except beach and pool).
