A delightful cottage in Devon
This is a well equipped cottage with fine views of the surrounding countryside. Not far from Exeter and the M5, it is a wonderful and tranquil setting for that break you know you need. I loved it.
The cottage was lovely with lovely views of the countryside
I would recommend the cottage , ideal for a couple to relax
Thank you, it was lovely to have you to stay.
Extremely pleasant cottage.
My wife and I stayed here with our Staffie, we enjoyed it that much we stayed an extra night. The cottage is set in the grounds alongside the main house (it is detached). It is very comfortable and has everything you need, although the kitchen is small (I don't go on holidays to cook!), it is fine for making an evening snack. The front garden is quite large ( our staffie loved it) and although the description says it's shared, we had it all to ourselves as the main house has a large back garden. Charlotte, the owner was never intrusive but always happy to give any information if needed. The entrance and drive is a bit tight, but I managed it in my van. The village has two pubs and a Spar, the pubs are dog friendly (they have dogs themselves), but unless you are desperate, eat elsewhere! (only one does food and not every day). The locals in the pubs and in the village are extremely friendly and our Staffie had loads of hugs, in fact I don't think he wanted to come home! Overall we had a lovely stay (although the great weather helped) and I would recommend it to couples with or without dogs.
Property was clean, well equipped and very comfortable.
The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped, quiet and private. We had use of a shared front garden, and a small table and chairs outside would have been a nice to have. The turning in to the property is pretty tight but manageable. It served us very well for our particular needs as we were able to take our little dog with us too.
Communication with the owner was easy and nothing too much trouble.
We would certainly recommend the property to friends and relatives.
We were keen to visit mid Devon and see the national park, all of which we managed to do in the two days we were there. Local amenities and those in nearby Cullompton catered well for our needs.
Overall a very pleasant stay.
Great idea, I have now put a 3 seater bench on the front lawn
