A gorgeous yurt high in the beautiful Berwyn mountains in North Wales on our self sufficient eco property.
Deep peace & tranquility, stunning skies, amazing views, no light pollution. Abundant wildlife, nature and trees.
Delicious unspoilt mountain spring water. Special, loving and healing vibe.
Ty Crwn Bach Idris is a very comfortable yurt which can easily accommodate four people. It has a double bed and a double sofa bed. It is beautifully furnished with lovely linens and rugs.
There is a wood burning stove which heats up the space very quickly and is perfect for boiling the provided kettle for a warming cuppa or making a pan of tasty soup/stew. All pots/pans, crockery and cutlery, mugs and glasses are provided. We simply ask that you wash them before you leave.
The yurt is light and airy with a clear round glass opening window in the roof and a south facing stable door to help keep things cool on sunny days and hot summer nights. The floor and walls are insulated so it's toasty even in the coldest of winters.
The covered deck outside the yurt provides somewhere sheltered to sit and enjoy the BBQ or the fire pit, although there are grassy areas to use if you would prefer.
In keeping with the ethos of our home, we have tried to use reclaimed/recycled/up cycled materials wherever possible.
The bathroom shed (or the 'loo with a view') contains a separating compost toilet, a sink and a hot shower with wonderful views and grey water recovery. That's right, everything gets recycled!!
There is a covered kitchen area for cooking on the provided gas hob if you would rather do that than use the stove, BBQ or fire pit. But forage some wood from the forest and light a fire, you are glamping after all!!!
There are standard electrical sockets in the yurt and low energy lighting there and in the bathroom/kitchen all run off renewable energy sources. So by staying in Ty Crwn Bach Idris you will be doing your bit to reduce pollution and carbon emissions.
If you need assistance with anything just ask. We are here to help and glad to do so. :-)
Experience life 'off-grid' glamping!
The trip was everything we asked for - a getaway from everything, with beautiful views and awesome walks. Nathan and Shayne were so nice and welcoming and the yurt was amazing! The hammocks outside were a nice touch and the pit fire was a really nice way to end evenings. Would definitely recommend and definitely want to return!
The yurt had everything you need if your a person who doesn't need much. Fantastic walks and views of the country side. Weather was terrible but still had an amazing break as a couple.
There's hammocks to sit and enjoy nature in, felt really good to get back to grass roots living. But still relatively comfortable. Fire heats up the place really quickly, 20 mins or so. cheers Nath
November: rain: 80mph wind: a good time had?!
Absolutely! This place is amazing, it's tranquil, warm and cosy, everything you could want and need, even in the middle of winter!
Will definately return next summer and enjoy the BBQ and further walks...

The yurt is an amazing place to stay if you are looking for a back to nature getaway. We stayed two nights and the peace and calm we experienced was exactly what we were looking for as we live in a busy city. The views from the yurt are wonderful and the rain only added to it. When the sun did come out the patio gets it all day and there is a wonderful sunset to look forward to.
The yurt was clean and ready for our arrival. It's very cosy and comfy. Everything you need for your stay is available and the family are friendly and helpful #thanks for the eggs.
One of the best short breaks we have had in ages. Planning a return visit, will rrecommend to friends and family.
My partner is big on camping so for her birthday I decided we try glamping as a fun alternative.
The Yurt was great, very spacious for the both of us and very well maintained. Inside a set of fairy lights and ufo lights add a romantic touch once night approaches, combine that with the log burner which was already pre fueled, we just needed to light it, it made for a lovely atmosphere.
Nathan the owner was very pleasant and friendly and made us feel very comfortable at the property.
If we were looking to glamp again we would definitely revisit.
