The Old Stables is a 5 bedroom spacious and tastefully renovated holiday home only 4 miles from the picturesque village of Cannich, hosting a small store for picking up your basic essentials.

9 miles from Glen Affric, known for having one of the largest surviving mature pinewoods in the UK.

Only 8 miles from Drumnadrochit, the lively village with Loch Ness exhibitions, the Iconic Urquhart castle, Highland Riding Centre, Cruises up and down Loch Ness, small supermarket, chemist Post Office, craft shops and plenty places to eat out or simply sit and watch the world go by.

Beautiful and felt brand new

Overall we had a wonderful experience at this property. It was perfect for our group of 10 people and still felt large despite all the people. I would definitely stay there again. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. The location was great. Very near loch ness and not too far from Inverness. Really I can't think of a single negative thing so that must be really good right? Highly recommend it to anyone considering a vacation in the Loch ness area.

Very nice house with a lot of space

Very nice house with a lot of space and very comfortable. Beautiful environment with lots of sheep.

Also the 4000 year old tomb in the vicinity was very interesting. I only missed flowers in the garden.

Well located spacious home

We enjoyed our four-day stay at this clean and comfortable house located not far from Drumnadrochit. It was a quiet idyllic location on the edge of farming land, near a babbling brook, next to an interesting cemetery and a short walk to the historic Corrimony Cairn. We used it as a base to explore Inverness, the Loch Ness, Battle of Culloden fields, fishing town of Nairn and Isle of Skye (a long drive but worth it!)The house was enormous and well fitted out for all our needs (even providing dishwasher tablets and washing powder). The only negative (and a minor one in the grand scheme of things) was that the curtains were not effective in blocking out summer sunshine - difficult when trying to get a six year old to sleep. Overall would recommend this accommodation for two families.

Wonderful accommodation in a peaceful rural location

We had a lovely stay at the Old Stables, the accommodation was very comfortable with lovely finishes and the surrounding countryside was beautiful. We could see deer on the hill near the house most evenings and mornings. The layout of the house was ideal for us as we could put the children to bed in their bedrooms and then sit with our friends in the living room and kitchen and the children were not woken by our noise.

Car: necessary

Take the A831 from Drumnadrochit. 8 miles from Drumnadrochit you will see a sign for Corrimony on the left hand side follow this for 1.5 miles drive past the sign stating ‘no further vehicles’. The house is beside the graveyard.
