Why Hamid chose Paisley

We bought this property in 2010 and was rented out as a long term let. In March 2015 the tenant moved out and we decided to change it into a holiday let. We started the refurbishment on the 15th March and literally took at back to the floor boards and renovated it completely. It took a total of 3 months and as you can see in the pictures we have put our heart and soul into it to making it feel like a home and not like a hotel. We like to think of it as “home away from home “for our guests.

What makes this apartment unique

Paisley is a beautiful town with a lot of heritage to explore. We are located just across from the art gallery and museum which holds a vast amount of art and history dating back century’s, it’s a must to take a day out to explore. ( 50 Yards )

Coats Observatory is Scotland’s oldest public observatory. Located in Oakshaw Street West, Paisley, Renfrewshire, the observatory has been operational since October 1, 1883 and continues to function to this day, offering visitors the opportunity to view the night sky through the powerful telescopes housed within the building ( 75 yards )

Paisley Abbey was founded in 1245 when Walter Fitzalan, the High Steward of Scotland, signed a charter at Fotheringay for the founding of a Cluniac monastery on land he owned in Paisley. Beautiful architecture inside and out not to be missed while in Paisley only a five minute walk from the apartment. ( 700 yards )

University of the west of Scotland Paisley campus is 350 yards from the apartment. It has undergone extensive renovation’s over the past few years and has high standards of education in undergraduate and post-graduate courses.

Very nice flat in Paisley

This property in the heart of Paisley is an excellent alternative to an airport hotel.

Be aware the flat is on the 3rd floor so isn't great for elderly people or those with disabilities. There is also only street parking although there are some lots close by that are cheap and easy.

I would definitely stay here again when traveling in and out of Glasgow.

Convenient, comfortable and quiet

We stayed at the Townhead Apartment for three nights while getting over our jet lag. Hamid picked us up at the airport for a reasonable fee, It was comfortable and clean, close to the Glasgow airport and an easy walk to the Train station for a day in Glasgow. Paisley is a pleasant town with good shopping. Cardosi's, nearby, is an excellent Italian restaurant and there is a good coffee shop on the corner. The apartment has a kitchen and washer/dryer. The dryer is slow. Overall, it was perfect for the start of our trip.

A excellent way to start a holiday!

A quiet clean apartment from which we were able to explore Glasgow as the train station is a few minutes away. Abbey is a wonderful host willing to offer advice and to ensure our time in Scotland was memorable. He even went out of his way to aid us in procuring mobile phones. We would highly recommend this apartment.

Hamish's Restaurant has great food and beverage at reasonable prices.
