Absolutely amazing location...beautiful apartment.

  • 5 of 5

We spent 5 nights in this apartment and wished we had longer...Howth is a great place to stay. It has fabulous walking, massive choice of excellent eating places and bars. Best of all, it is on the direct Dart train route into Dublin. You really do not need a car... Amazing...hope to come back..

A bright GEM!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this place which is uniquely close to the Marina, restaurants, Dart station, golf and many others too many to mention. The fish and chips, the pubs all great and within a short walk even right out front! The airport couldn't be any closure without using the tolls!

A superb place to relax outside of the city with good grocery shopping close by! Whether you eat in or go out , a fantastic place! Peaceful quiet and great evening walks.

The only thing would be to have a guide on the use of the washer, or TV set up and or the garbage instructions.

This a a wonderful location and any more comments wouldn't do it justice! Highly recommend this location and for those wishing to be outside of th city!

We will be coming back since we liked it so much! Thank you again.

Owner's Response: Hello Daliah , Thank you for taking the time to write a review . I am glad you enjoyed the apartment and you found the location so good with great access to Restaurants ,pubs ,walks and marina and easy to get to from the Airport . It is also so easy to use the DART (commuter train ) to hop into the City Centre ,a journey of 25 minutes at a cost of 6 euro return adult fare. The washing machine / tumble dryer information is detailed on the front of the machine however I will take your suggestion and write a note and for the TV . Thank you again ,I hope you will visit again soon . Kind Regards Valerie

An idyllic short break!

  • 5 of 5

Our party of four had a wonderful stay at this well-appointed flat in a beautiful location. The apartment is clean and bright and comfortable in every way. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need to cater for yourself but, with so many lovely restaurants nearby, it's tempting to go out every evening! We had a wonderful meal at the Oar House -- the fish pie is excellent! There is an Insomnia coffee shop next door so even morning coffee was easy. We took the train into Dublin one day, definitely the best option for a visit to the city. The station is barely a two minute walk from the flat and the trains run often. No fighting Dublin traffic or struggling for a parking space! The location is an ideal base for day trips (we went up to Newgrange one day, and toured the Wicklow Mountains another) or for a relaxing seaside break. Thank you, Valerie, for providing us with such a lovely stay.

Beautiful flat in lovely village

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed our stay in Howth! The fishing village is now part of Dublin. City buses and the DART train connect the village easily with Dublin centre. We actually took the 102 bus from the airport to the neighbouring village of Suton and finished the journey easily by a one-stop ride on the DART to Howth. The flat, which overlooks the harbour, is just a stone's throw from the DART station. The flat itself is very comfortable. The owner has taken care to make sure that it is attractive and well-equipped. For those who have a car, parking is available too. From the flat, we walked everywhere...to the grocery store, restaurants, cute shops, the church, the pier where we saw many seals, to Howth castle, to the hikes along the cliffs, etc....lovely! Our son and friends took the DART down from Howth to Dublin centre and the university college south of the city...pleasant easy trips. We would love to return some day! It is a wonderful place to stay.

Howth
Car: not necessary

The picturesque Howth Peninsula is located on the North East of Dublin City ,just a short train ,bus or car journey from Dublin city centre .

Howth is a bustling working harbour where you can watch fishermen landing their catch and where you can experience the freshest seafood in Dublin. Fantastic fish shops , I recommend Nicky's plaice . Many restaurants along the pier to choose from.

Stroll around the harbour or the winding streets where there are plenty of shops ,interesting sights and stunning views . Relax with a drink in one of the many local pubs or enjoy the hospitality of the many restaurants and cafes.Experience a traditional evening of Irish music ,song and dance in a 16th century tavern .

There are many reminders of the area's rich history, including the 12th century Abbey, Martello Tower, Museums and Aideen's Grave (located in Deer Park ),which is believed to date from 2500BC.

Take one of the many exhilorating looped walks or ferry trips to experience Howth's diverse natural beauty - a paradise for bird watchers and plant lovers .Climb to the summit for panoramic views of Dublin Bay or stroll the sandy beaches.

Enjoy the many water related activities and the friendly atmosphere that make Howth the ideal destination for a great Holiday for all .
