This recently renovated Edwardian property is situated on the seafront of Rosemarkie Bay and enjoys beautiful sea views. The large holiday home is perfect for family gatherings or golfing parties, with six bedrooms, all with their own bathroom.
Rosemarkie is a picturesque village with a beautiful beach, a small supermarket, a good butcher/deli and a pub. Nearby Fortrose has a range of shops, two restaurants and a supermarket. Play a round of golf at the Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Course, or look for dolphins at Chanonry Point. You could also take a dolphin watching boat trips from the nearby villages of Avoch or Cromarty.
Accommodation & Facilities
Living room: wide bay window with window seat looking out to the bay, seating for eight on two settees and two armchairs, open fire, TV with DVD player, I pod-dock.
Smaller living room: open fire or electric fire, seating for six, TV with DVD.
Dining room: seating for twelve, wood-burning stove, wide bay window with window seat.
Kitchen: Rangemaster range cooker with induction hob, conventional ovens, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, central island with seating for three, double Belfast sink.
Family bathroom: bath, WC.
Bedroom 1: double bed, wardrobe, en-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2: built in wardrobe, king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with hand-held shower.
Bedroom 3: can be a twin room or the beds can be zip-linked to create a king-size bed. New en-suite shower, built in wardrobe.
Bedroom 4: twin room with en suite shower room.
Bedroom 5: views over the bay, kingsize bed, en-suite shower room.
Master bedroom: views over the bay, kingsize bed, en-suite bathroom with overhead shower.
Utility/boot room: washing machine and tumble dryer, door to garden.
Behind the main house there is a games room with a piano, small snooker table, TV and table football. There is off- street parking for up to five cars and a lovely, enclosed garden with a patio and summer house. A little path leads from the garden to Rosemarkie’s play park.
All bed linen and towels are included in the price. No smoking is permitted within the holiday home. Up to two well-behaved dogs can be accommodated at a cost of £15 per dog per week.
Good time in a great house with plenty of comfort and space for all members of our party. We will stay again if we had the need for so many people.
All neccessary items where in the house, sitting near the oven was very special in thr evenings.
The short distance to the lighthouse for dolphins watching was very confortable.
Kitchen: The fire place is high standard. Unfortunately, the cooking equipment does not match to this standard.
Great dining room with fire place and view to the sea.
Bathroom. In my case a shower curtain was missing, so the floor was always flooded after the shower.
Two sockets in the downstairs bedroom did not work.

A comfortable, upgraded home with plenty of living space. Great location across the street from the beach in a charming, quiet village. A peaceful, relaxing base for a Highland golf trip!
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. House very comfortable and well equipped for all types of holidaymakers. Lovely restaurant closeby but facilities in the house most suitable for all kinds of cooking/entertaining. Would highly recommend. Just a pity we didn't see any Dolphins.
Tigh na Mara, what a lovely house! Excellent location a very peaceful delightful place to be. The house had lots of room and was very comfortable, home from home. Beautiful location right on the Seafront just step across the road on to the beach, great for early morning dog walks. And the icing on the cake! The Dolphins! Watch them from Chanonry point just a short drive or 10 minute walk along the beach.
From the south: take the A9 north and cross Kessock Bridge. Take the turning for Cromarty, drive through Munlochy and take a right, signposted Cromarty. Continue on to Rosemarkie and turn right down Hawkhill Road. Turn right and you will see Tigh na Mara (12 Marine Terrace) on your right.
