Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday villa in Cala Llonga - CASA AGAVE

3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 extra toilet, homely and close to all amenities

This spanish style holiday-villa is situated on a sunny hillside at Ibiza's east coast overlooking the vivid village and beach of Cala Llonga with numerous restaurants, bars, shops and other amenities. So certainly 'not away from it all'. Village and beach are within 10 minutes walking distance.

The house itself is on three levels, comprising an entrance hall at road level, with stairs leading down to the central floor with a lounge opening onto a covered terrace, from which you can enjoy the breathtaking view during al fresco dining or sipping cocktails.

Other rooms on this floor are a.o. the fully equipped kitchen and the main twin bedroom with ensuite bath/shower room.

On the lower floor are two twin bedrooms, a shower room and a hall opening onto a second covered terrace with big dining table and connection to the poolarea.

The private pool is surrounded by a large sundeck with 6 layers, several umbrellas and an outside shower. The whole area can be illuminated for night use

Club de Golf Roca Llisa is nearby:

Fantastic Villa!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week at the end of May 2013, and the villa exceeded our expectations in every possible way. The centrepiece of the property is a beautiful pool area with stunning views over the green surrounds of Cala Llonga. Inside the villa is immaculately kept, with a very comfortable living area, a kitchen with all the necessaries, and 3 large bedrooms.

If you can drag yourself away from the pool, the property is only a 10 minute walk to Cala Llonga village, which has a variety of shops and restaurants as well as a stunning beach.

One thing to note is that the multi-level design of the villa means it would be difficult to navigate for anyone who has difficulty with stairs, but if no one in your group has such trouble you will not find a nicer place to stay in Ibiza.

Wonderful villa

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 4 with 2 young kids (6,8) and had a wonderful time. The villa is very spacious - indeed at times big enough to get lost in - and well equipped, and despite the baking heat is cool enough with the ceiling fans on. Pool is perfect and the kids were desperately sad to leave it behind; an especially nice touch was the various pool inflatables available. I also found it big enough to properly swim lengths in should you require a bit of light exercise.

Most impressive of all though are the views. The main balcony outside the lounge is simply awesome, with twin arches framing the most magical view day and night. We couldn't spend enough time out there.

The cost of such a wonderful view I suppose is the fact that you need to walk

up some steep hills in the heat to get to the villa from Calla Longa, but this was only 10-15 mins on quiet roads so was fine for us.

The town itself is lovely. In particular the Terrace was excellent, with very friendly northern English staff attending to your every need, and a superb menu. We also went to the restaurant to the left hand side of the beach a few times and found this almost as good. Day trips to Santa Eulalia and Ibiza Town were worth doing (the Dalt Villa in the latter well worth climbing up for the views), and we used the efficient bus service for this (actually though the taxis are not much more if there are 4 of you). Neither place had a beach as nice as Calla Longa though.

We normally don't return the same place twice on holiday but are considering it with Casa Agave, which says a great deal!

Charming Villa

  • 5 of 5

On our first visit to Ibiza we had good fortune in finding such a charming villa to stay in. Casa Agave has a glorious commanding hillside view and is furnished with Indian objects which gives it a very cosy feel. Clean, bright and well equipped; it had everything our party of six needed. The pool was a joy, both day and night, and kept 4 children endlessly amused.

Our dealings with the the very pleasant housekeeper and the owner were smooth and efficient which, all in all, added up to a most enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this villa and hope to visit again in the future.

Ibiza itself surpassed our expectations - We found some lovely beaches and restaurants - La Casita in Cala Llonga and many in the nearby village of Santa Gertruda. We hired a car for a few days but otherwise managed some exploration on public transport. We will definitely return sometime as we only touched the surface of this lovely island.

Excellent Location, amazing villa.

  • 5 of 5

Spacious, comfortable, great pool, all mod-cons, terrific views, cool inside despite the seering tempratures and only a 10min walk from the great beach at Cala Llonga. This really is the perfect villa if you are looking for somewhere quiter on the island to stay. 6 of us stayed there for a week in June and had an amazing time, you won't want to leave!

Perfect holiday and a view to die for!

  • 5 of 5

My family (6 adults) stayed here in early September and had a fantastic holiday. The villa exceeded our expectations on all accounts, handovers were excellent and equipment and facilities provided more than covered all eventualities. Kitchen basics were all supplied for arrival and there were even some lilos in the pool house so we could jump straight in and revert to our child hood. We spent most of our time on or around the (bigger than expected) pool and loved every minute of it.

The terrace views were spectacular and watching the sun rise in the morning and set at night are the thing we'll miss most. Breakfast and a gin and tonic in the evening will never be the same again!

The villa was extremely well equipped, comfortable and spacious. Slightly steep stair cases but we managed with heavy shopping and suitcases no problem. The nearest big supermarket for fresh food, bread, fruit, fish etc was in Santa Eulalia (a 10 minute drive away) but you can get all your basics in the local village of Cala Llonga. This village is about a ten minute walk, down hill on the way, fairly steep up hill on the way back but plenty of taxis if you're feeling lazy. The town itself is fairly quiet but still has plenty to entertain you. A beautiful clean and child friendly beach and sheltered bay, lots of shops selling bargains, cocktails bars and lots of restaurants to choose from.

Our favourite restaurant was The Terrace where the food was exceptional and extremely good value, 9 Euros for 3 courses of mouthwatering homemade fresh grub!

Every single one of us would highly recommend this villa and hope to return again one day. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did : )

Cala llonga (10 minutes walk) is nestled between pine covered mountains, with a sheltered bay bordering an impressive sweep of golden sand sloping very gently into the sea, so very childfriendly. You will find here plenty of bars, restaurants, tourist shops, 1 or 2 disco's, several supermarkets, taxi's, buses, car and bike hire and money exchange.

Santa Eulalia (10 minutes drive) has a sleepy Mediterranean village atmosphere, with a lovely waterfront, very friendly inhabitants and helpful shopkeepers. As well as all those you expect to find in a tourist resort, together with a street of delightful pavement restaurants, really coming to life at night.

The real place to be is of course enchanting Ibiza town (15 minutes drive) with its famous mediaeval fortress Dalt Villa, the old harbour area, numerous of restaurants, bars, luxurious boutiques and trendy clubs. Do not forget to visit the 'new' marina Botafoch, where you can admire impressive yachts during al fresco diner or drinks.

Other Activities: boattrips, shopping, clubbing

Golf: Club de Golf Roca Llisa is situated within less than 5 minutes drive from the house. It is a fine course, which offers a series of appealing challenges. It is relatively flat, with wide fairways and very fast greens. A course for which caution is the key.

Casa Agave is of an older spanish style, not luxurious, but homely and cosy . It offers you everything to make your holiday perfect, such as: lovely pool and deck with layers, two covered terraces with magnifcent views and big diningtabels, quality beds, well equipped kitchen, big comfy sofa to watch lots of international channels on the flat screen etc. All the windows in the house have mosquito-panels/fly-screens, so you can leave them open day and night. All the rooms have ceiling fans, which keep them cool. Cot and highchair available. Weekly cleaning, linen/towel-change and pool-service included. We do not have internet access but in the village of Cala Llonga (10 min. walk) almost every restaurant and bar offers free wifi. Besides there are 2 internet cafes and really all the other amenities you need. Also taxistands, busstops and even a ferry, so you can survive without carhire, but if you can't, maybe just for a few days, you will find three carhires in the village.
