All mod-cons of small lap pool and a hot tub, overlooking the valley all the way to Spoleto, a roof terrace with 360 degree views, a peaceful haven amidst the bustle of Trevi with a 1 minute walk to the bars and popular restaurants of this foodie haven combine to offer the most perfect holiday for all lovers of Italy and its rich culture. Two bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms on the 2 upper floors of the tower allow you to drink your morning coffee on the roof terrace with far-reaching views, a third bedroom is in the guest house in the stunning garden stocked with roses and sweet jasmine, overlooking the fountain and lap pool.

A comfortable dining room with kitchen and large dining terrace allow for slow Italian lunches sheltered from the midday sun and the evening terrace overlooking the Spoleto valley allow for tasty bbqs and imbibing of many a bottle of Sagrantino wine on balmy evenings. For those who require further stimulation, drink a glass of Prosecco in the hot tub on its own terrace overlooking the twinkling lights in the valley overlooking Spoleto or hide away in the snug, our hole in the city wall with its cinema sized tv screen and DVDs to suite any taste .

About Helen Lanzer

Helen Lanzer (house restorer) and Stephen Solomon (family doctor) have made Trevi their part-time home and only rent it to special guests for a few weeks a year when they are not in residence.

The tower is very much a home and we would like to extend a very warm welcome to you.

Helen Lanzer purchased this house in 2012

Why Helen Lanzer chose Trevi

We found this spectacular medieval tower on the internet and fell in love with its quirkiness.

It has taken us 3 years to restore and modernise, but we feel we have created a beautifully comfortable home in an incredible edifice. Come on, how many medieval towers have you stayed in?

What makes this house unique

When we were looking for a holiday home we had five "must-haves" - a spectacular view, a pool, easy access to an international airport, proximity to a town with restaurants and an airfield for our tandem plane. Never thinking we could achieve all, we were amazed to find our tower. It ticked every box, apart from the pool, and we soon changed that!

Fantastic holiday

  • 5 of 5

Our two week stay in the tower was delightful, the tower is beautifully restored, well appointed and very comfortable, the gardens, pool and hot tub were great to relax in after a day's sightseeing and the views from the terrace and roof top were amazing! Helen was very helpful and provided great advice on local restaurants. The tower and the lovely town of Trevi provide a wonderful base for day trips to places like Assisi, Perugia, Spoletto and Montefalco. We will definitely be visiting again.

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your glowing review. Please come again and try staying in October when all the festivals take place in Trevi. That way you get to try all the local produce, truffles, the famous "black" celery from Trevi, olives and wine.
