Los Cipreses is a detached luxury villa located in the prestigious San Rafael area between the 16th Century village of Frigiliana, and the lovely coastal town of Nerja. It is a perfect private get-away for the discriminating holiday maker. Accommodation is spread between the ground floor of the villa and an annexe.

Los Cipreses is a fantastic opportunity to stay in this lovely area. The outstanding gardens, the private pool and jacuzzi add to the luxurious feel. There is plenty for the children to do, with table tennis, a PS3, pool toys and games.

The location and quality of the villa is excellent, it has spacious grounds with outstanding gardens and a private pool and jacuzzi.

On the ground floor there is an ensuite master bedroom with a king sized bed, a double room that also opens directly onto the gardens, and a bunk-bed room. The kitchen, lounge, dining area, snug TV area and bathroom are also located on the ground floor. In the annexe there is a double room, a twin room, a shower room and small kitchen area.

On arrival at Los Cipreses you turn into a gated driveway and park in the private drive. The villa sits in mature and elegant gardens, with lovely lawned areas, tall trees, flowers and fruit trees. There are sunny areas on the lawn for sunbathing and shady areas to escape the heat of the day. A hammock hangs invitingly between the trees.

A pathway takes you alongside the villa to the patio area where you can see the large private terrace and pool. The pool is 10m x 4.5m, the depth at the shallow end is 1.1m and 1.9m at the deep end.* There is a Power Swim facility, which creates a current to swim against, and a jacuzzi to relax in**. A large terrace area surrounds the pool, with sun beds, a gas barbecue, and a table tennis table. We supply pool/beach towels free of charge and there are pool toys ready for you, so you can start your holiday as soon as you arrive.

The sheltered outdoor dining area has three sets of patio doors which open into the ground floor of the villa. Inside, a large, open, airy space contains a pleasant seating and dining table, to the right is the kitchen, which has a 5 ring gas hob, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave/grill oven, coffee machine and large fridge freezer. There is plenty of cupboard space and large granite worktops. The kitchen is well equipped with crockery, utensils and cooking equipment.

To the left of the patio doors is a big comfortable corner sofa with a TV (UK channels available) and a DVD player. There are a selection of books and children's games.

The next room is the first of the ground floor bedrooms; a charming garden room with doors opening directly into the garden. This room has a double bed, fitted wardrobe and ceiling fan. Opposite is the shower room which has a large, walk in shower.

Next to the shower room is a small bunkbed room, suitable for small children. A TV with a Playstation 3, two controllers and a selection of games is available.

The master bedroom completes the ground floor; a very big airy room with a wooden floor and an extra large king size bed, a walk-in wardrobe, sofa, and an ensuite with shower and bath. This room is equipped with air conditioning. There is space for additional children's beds as an alternative to the bunk bed room.

The annexe is located down a set of steps beside the pool area. On entering you can see the double bedroom, with wardrobe, ceiling fan and window. Further along the hallway is the twin room, with wardrobe and ceiling fan. Opposite is the shared shower room. The annexe is completed by a small fridge and kitchen area suitable for making drinks. There is an internal telephone system between the annexe and the main villa. The annexe at Los Cipreses is fully air conditioned.

There is very good free wifi at the villa.

The upper floors of the building are not included in the let, but they will not be used by anyone during your stay, giving you peace, privacy and total tranquility.

Los Cipreses is a fantastic opportunity to stay in this prestigious area and to take advantage of the facilities the villa has to offer. Los Cipreses is very special holiday experience in an outstanding garden setting.

While you are staying at the villa the maintenance team are contactable at all times, and will come to the villa to assist if you have any problems. All you need to do is to relax and enjoy your holiday!

What makes this villa unique

This is a luxury villa, with beautiful secluded gardens that you just won't find anywhere else! There is a feeling of tranquility, of total away-from-it-all peace and quiet, yet you are so close to all the local amenities. This is a wonderful opportunity to stay at such a superb villa. There is plenty for the children to do, with the private pool, table tennis table, playstation, and games, so you can relax, put your feet up and enjoy your holiday.

The swimming pool has a Power Swim feature allowing you to swim against the current. The pool is not heated but is in full sun so during the summer months it remains warm. The jacuzzi can be heated at an additional charge of £50 per week.

Fantastic villa in a wonderfull enviroment.

We stayed for two weeks in a this fantastic villa 3 minutes from the center of Nerja and 5 minutes from the beach.The master bedroom was very spacy with TV & DVD and its own bathroom. Two more bedrooms with share bathroom, to accomodate another couple and 2 children.The living room and kitchen in one space was beautifully furnished.Very nice TV area with 50 inch flat screen.External terrace with nice swiming pool and BBQ area. Apsolutely recommend it.

Lovely villa that met all of our expectations

We had two lovely weeks at Los Cipreses. The villa is very comfortable and has everything we needed. It certainly matched our expectations - lovely pool and terrace area (very important), comfy beds, good A/C and well equipped. We like the ‘quality’ touches, with good quality outside furniture, pool towels etc. We also enjoyed the wildlife, with lots of birds, squirrels and occasional visits from the neighbouring cats! Sue and Dave were very helpful - thanks for that! We mostly ate at home, enjoying long evenings by the pool (we lifted the tables out onto the pool-side) and under the stars. Morning walks to Frigiliana became standard (there is a route where you can avpid the main road).

We were two adults and five youngsters aged between 18 and 24. Nerja and the villa was perfect for us all.

If we return to Nerja (and we hope to), we will be back!

Gorgeous villa

We're a party of ten who've just returned from a great week staying at this beautiful villa. The grounds are gorgeous and cut the villa off from those surrounding it (which are at a distance anyway). The main bedroom is huge, which was just as well as I was in a wheelchair due to a broken foot (having said that, the villa does have a couple of steps inside so not ideal for wheelchair users unless you can get out to walk up them). The living room where the tv is didn't seat the 10 of us, but who wants tv when you've got the sun, right? We didn't have a car and managed with taxis. It's doable, but not ideal. Pool and jacuzzi are great. I'd definitely recommend this villa and Sue couldn't have been more helpful throughout our very enjoyable stay. We'll be back, I'm sure.

Impressive villa perfect for family get together

This is a great villa, perfect size with a fantastic swimming pool and gardens. It is ideal for days around the pool, and not too far from Frigiliana or Nerja, though there is nothing in walking distance.

Frigiliana is a lovely town, with some great restaurants and fantastic views. Nerja is brilliant for the beach, restaurants and night life.

Sue and Dave were brilliant, on call for any problems or questions, thank you!

Special interest holidays:

If you enjoy walking then there are plenty of organised walking tours in the Village of Frigiliana. There is a lovely walk from Nerja to Frigiliana approx 6 kms where you pass the famous caves, streams and cascades of fresh mountain water. Above Frigiliana is an 8 km walk to the 1000m high summit of el Fuerte, “the tough one”, a massive rock buttress towering over the village and its surrounding peaks. Breathtaking panoramas appear: northwards across the steep valley of the Rio Higueron to the jagged peaks of the Sierra de Almijara, and southwards over the foothills to Nerja, Torrox and the Mediterranean. The best time is in the Spring before the heat of July and August.


Nearest town is Nerja 2.5km which boasts 16km of coastline with seven sandy beaches within walking distance of the town. Its attractions include more than 500 bars, cafes and restaurants, the famous Balcón de Europa and underground Caves. The nearest village is Frigiliana 1.5 km away that celebrates the 3 cultures festival at night, normally 3rd week in August or last week in August for 4 days. It revolves around 3 cultures; Sephardic, Arabic and Christian with plenty of markets, tapas etc.


The nearest airport is Malaga approx 45 minutes drive away. We would recommend hiring a car to travel to the villa from the airport and exploring the area. Car hire is recommended as there are no shops etc within easy walking distance, however, there is a local bus service that will take you to Frigiliana or Nerja. You can catch a bus from the bus station in Nerja to surrounding villages and towns or even Malaga city centre.


FRIGILIANA 1.5 km - traditional whitewashed village with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and hosts the 3 cultures festival in August. Also re-known for homemade wine and local olive oil.

NERJA 2.5 km - bustling town famous for Balcon de Europa, Burriana Playa (beach), international restaurants

TORROX COSTA 8 km; great beach bar/restaurants, promenade, shops etc

EL INGENIO SHOPPING CENTRE: Torre del Mar, approx 20 minutes drive

Further Details:

Nearest local shops, restaurants, banks is in Frigiliana. For larger supermarkets and a wider selection of facilities visit Nerja. In Frigiliana village there is a sports centre. Please note that supermarkets are not normally open on a Sunday except in the summer season. There is a great shop and restaurant which is open every day at the nearby petrol station where you can get provisions, and have a nice lunch or coffee.

We would recommend car hire to get to the local beaches and towns, but you can get taxis and there is a bus service. shops,
