The apartment is close to Edinburgh's historic center, ideal for restaurants, bars, shopping and exploring Edinburgh many sights. It is well situated for all attractions, very good public transport links to airport and train and bus stations. The building, was built around 1720 and is part of the local history of the area. This property has been used for holiday rentals since 1998

The apartment comprises of an open plan lounge area with double sofa bed, including a fully equipped kitchen and, dinning area, 1 double bedroom, , bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, .Full central heating, Free WiFi, Free on street parking

Great Apartment conveniently located

The flat was very comfortable and it's very convenient, Sainsbury's just a minutes walk away and the flat is close to most of the attractions. The host was very friendly and checked with me if everything was okay during my stay . I had a good time in Edinburgh and at The flat. I recommend the flat if anyone is coming to travel to Edinburgh!

Great location, livable, but could use some TLC.

This apartment has a great location within easy walking distance to bars, eateries and grocery shopping. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the Royal Mile and about 20 minutes to Edinburgh Castle...so location is great. If you have a car parking is free on the side street..but it can be difficult to find a close spot nearby. I had to park about a block away...but again it was free! The apartment itself is fairly well equipped and maintained. We did notice it was a bit dusty and the kitchen needs a good cleaning. Also, we did not have a clean dish towel..the owner could leave an extra couple of clean ones in a drawer. Only two towels were supplied..again a few more towels would be a nice touch. The bedding was clean and the beds were comfortable. For the most part the area is quiet and safe at night. We did have some noise on a Friday night..but it was probably a one off. I would not hesite to stay here again...but I would contact the owner and ask that extra towels and clean dish towel be supplied.

Owner's Response: I am very pleased the guests enjoyed their trip and that they would not hesitate to book the apartment again, the parking is busy as this is the first street that is free to park outside the controlled zone where you have to pay to park. Regards anything not being as it should be with the apartment, I had no communication from the guests in the 3 days they were in the apartment, I just wish the guests had let me know and I would have droped off dish towels etc, as there is not much I can do once the guests have checked out and I only find out by getting this review, I would ask any future guest to call or email and they would get an instant response. and a swift resolution to any issue.

Brilliant apartment

We stayed at Main Door Apartment for a week, it's a brilliant place to stay, everything that we needed was there. Lovely decorated & furnished & very clean. It's close to Edinburgh, just down the street to the bus stop into the town & there's several bus routes too choose from & there's a supermarket just round the corner which was very convenient . Our Daughter slept on the bed settee & she said it was very comfortable & it was easy to change it from settee to bed. I would definitely recommend this apartment & if we go down too Edinburgh again it would be our first choice to rent.
