Porthmeor beach is arguably St Ives' premier beach and as such one of Cornwall's finest. The beach consists of a long stretch of golden sand overlooked by numerous artists' studios and the Tate Gallery.

As a consistent winner of the Blue Flag award Porthmeor beach is a great family beach and has all the facilities you would expect. These include a top notch beachside café, a surf school and a seasonal lifeguard service.

Although the 'on the beach' location Lower Saltings is only a few footsteps away from all that St Ives town has to offer.

About Terrasa Glinski

We are a local Cornish family and have two children , Madison aged eleven and Samantha ninteen.

My husband ,Stefan Glinski , is a local Sardine fishermen who has been fishing since a very young age. He was born in St Ives and has been fishing in and around the Cornish coast line for over forty years.

Myself, Terrasa Glinski , I work in our family business 'The Fresh and Freeze co Ltd' as well as managing our little gem' Lower Saltings'

Our eleven year old daughter , Madison Glinski , is a local celebrity . She made a New Years resolution Christmas 2013 to raise £500 for our local childrens hospice 'Little Harbour' by busking on the streets of St Ives with her violin.

She has now raised over £52,500 and has a new target of £75,000.

Our ninteen year old , Samantha Glinski , is studying Bio Chem at Westminster Uni in London.

We feel so lucky to own such a wonderful apartment. Both myself and husband spent our childhood on Porthmeor beach . Being such an attractive building from the outside you can't help but look over to Lower Saltings and admire it. Her history of once housing the lifeboat 'Hope' and named after the salting of the fish store, really does seem to blend in with our family and history.

What makes this apartment unique

From the moment you enter Lower Saltings you are struck by its uninterrupted breath taking views across the beach and out to sea. The beautiful arched window and seat makes a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the famous sunsets of Porthmeor beach.

The added benefit of being a ground floor apartment with private parking really helps to ensure that you have a stressful relaxing stay.

BEACHFRONT BLISS

Lower Saltings is ideally located right on Porthmeor Beach, with the living/dining room looking straight out to sea. Unusually, the apartment has a secure courtyard parking space in this parking-space starved town.

The apartment is charming, tasteful, comfortably appointed, and in excellent decorative order. Full suites of matching crockery, glass and cutlery complement an excellent array of utensils for the small but convenient laid-out and well equipped kitchen (nice touches such as full bottle of squeezy liquid, full salt & pepper grinders, etc show unusual level of customer care). All fittings are to a very high standard.

A very generous welcome pack with fresh fruit and flowers was on the table. Most particularly, Terrasa and Stefan couldn't have been more attentive and welcoming - despite a major (& romantic!) storm raging as we arrived. A couple of minor snags during the stay were swiftly and efficiently dealt with.

An ideal oasis in an idyllic location.

Simply beautiful apartment with the most wonderful window ledge seat and luxury accommodation.Tended to extremely well by the owner who will go the extra mile and provide milk, fruit, little luxuries and flowers which will eventually small divine.... The parking slot, a godsend , in this quaint but sometimes overcrowded seaside harbour town. Beach location- literally.....

Stunning beach views

Right from booking, the owners communicated quickly and catered for every need of our family. From video clips of how to park our Ford Galaxy in the adjoining courtyard parking space to a carefully prepared basket of toys, books and DVDs all age appropriate for our 2 sons. They enjoyed the beach theme reading so much we bought their holiday favourite on our return! They were thrilled to receive welcoming sweets along with the note to say ice lollies were waiting in the freezer! Our welcome pack was equally well received - thank you. Beach toys (body boards, buckets, spades, balls, bat and ball), towels and windbreak are provided. Lots of thoughtful helpful extras such as a car cover (seagull shield!), first aid kit, selection of books and DVDs, hairdryer and loads of coat hangers (you can never have enough, but here there were plenty!) The well equipped apartment was spotless and provided all home comforts. Although one bedroomed, we all had enough space and with the beach as our doorstep and the most amazing beach view it was the most relaxing family holiday we've had thus far! We will be back next year.

Simply stunning!!!

WOW - was the first words that I spoke when I entered this property, and you can see why with the view! I could not imagine a more idyllic set property!

The apartment has everything you could think of, the parking space outside your door is such a bonus, especially in st Ives, it can be a bit tight if you have a large car, but with a bit of practice you crack it! we travelled with my 3 year old daughter and 3 month old son, we was provided with a travel cot and lots of toys, books and DVDs to keep her entertained when she wasn't on the beach!! The apartment is bedutifully decorated to a very high standard and is within a 2 minute walk to the harbour with all the harbour restaurants and shops, it's worth s stroll down the beach to the cafe on porthmeor beach for breakfast, highly recommended!! The apartment is also in the best position to watch the stunning sunsets in the evening. Terrasa has thought of everything and we couldn't have enjoyed our first holiday as s family of 4 any more, thank you, we will definitely be back!
