Porthmeor beach is arguably St Ives' premier beach and as such one of Cornwall's finest. The beach consists of a long stretch of golden sand overlooked by numerous artists' studios and the Tate Gallery.

As a consistent winner of the Blue Flag award Porthmeor beach is a great family beach and has all the facilities you would expect. These include a top notch beachside café, a surf school and a seasonal lifeguard service.

Although the 'on the beach' location Lower Saltings is only a few footsteps away from all that St Ives town has to offer.

About Terrasa Glinski

We are a local Cornish family and have two children , Madison aged eleven and Samantha ninteen.

My husband ,Stefan Glinski , is a local Sardine fishermen who has been fishing since a very young age. He was born in St Ives and has been fishing in and around the Cornish coast line for over forty years.

Myself, Terrasa Glinski , I work in our family business 'The Fresh and Freeze co Ltd' as well as managing our little gem' Lower Saltings'

Our eleven year old daughter , Madison Glinski , is a local celebrity . She made a New Years resolution Christmas 2013 to raise £500 for our local childrens hospice 'Little Harbour' by busking on the streets of St Ives with her violin.

She has now raised over £52,500 and has a new target of £75,000.

Our ninteen year old , Samantha Glinski , is studying Bio Chem at Westminster Uni in London.

Why Terrasa Glinski chose St Ives area

We feel so lucky to own such a wonderful apartment. Both myself and husband spent our childhood on Porthmeor beach . Being such an attractive building from the outside you can't help but look over to Lower Saltings and admire it. Her history of once housing the lifeboat 'Hope' and named after the salting of the fish store, really does seem to blend in with our family and history.

What makes this apartment unique

From the moment you enter Lower Saltings you are struck by its uninterrupted breath taking views across the beach and out to sea. The beautiful arched window and seat makes a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the famous sunsets of Porthmeor beach.

The added benefit of being a ground floor apartment with private parking really helps to ensure that you have a stressful relaxing stay.

Amazing place to stay, dont miss out on booking this excellent apartment.

absolutely an amazing place to stay, we always try to book harbour or sea view places and this one has topped them all so far, we always try to move around as not to stay in the same place twice, but I think we will be returning to this place in the future. Terrasa who owns the property was very helpful checking on first day we were happy with everything and even called us on our travel down to say the place was ready early, so we went straight in, I should imagine if you want to stay here during the busy season you will need to book it well in advance but you will not be disappointed, not many places in St Ives that also have a private parking spot as well. It is a 5 minute walk to main harbour area with good pubs and places to eat, but I must warn you that you can spend many hours gazing out of the apartment window watching surfers, seals etc. if you like walking or geocaching go for the walk around clodgy point (far left view out of window) and also round the island (right hand side of window view) where you will see dolphins. well worth a stay here and we will be back.

Amazing apartment

We were absolutely stunned at the view from this amazing apartment. The accommodation was warm, modern, welcoming and beautifully clean. We were treated to a very generous welcome pack which contained everything we needed and more... we would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return there ourselves in the near future.

The appartment was simply fabulous. Very well presented and everything you would need for a holiday. The view from the window seat is to die for!!! We had the most wonderful week and can't wait until we can stay again.

Best Ever!

It's a little difficult to add any further praise that has not already been stated by other travellers! The simple fact is that this place is stunning and fitted out to a very high standard. Our hosts were unbelievably fantastic and they make sure you have everything you need for the best vacation possible - we wanted for nothing. To have a parking space added into the package is the icing on the cake! The "money shot" however is the view from the window seat - we sat there for hours watching the waves and ever changing views....and weather! Two days into our week there and we booked for 2018 - that's how fab this place is! Bring on 2018!
