Superbly located only a 9 minute walk to the characterful village of Plan de la Tour with charming restaurants and food shops. Only a 15 minute drive to the coast at Ste Maxime and 30 minutes from St Tropez. Ideally located to explore the villages of Ramatuelle, Grimaud and La Garde Freinet.

About The Owner

We are a family of four based in London but spending much time as well in beautiful Plan de la Tour

The Owner purchased this house in 2015

Why The Owner chose World

We have stayed in several villages and rented houses for holidays in various parts of France but have always felt most welcomed in Plan de la Tour. For us it is the perfect combination of easy access to the beaches and glamour of the Cote d'Azur with a genuine village feel which even in high summer is lively but not overrun. The village itself has several very good restaurants, two mini supermarkets, a post office, ATM facilities, a Thursday market and the all-important boulangeries.

What makes this house unique

The house itself is stunning and we are very fortunate that the previous owners built it using materials from their family business selling reclaimed architectural items. Therefore although the property is quite new, with the space and facilities that brings, it also mixes in beautiful old stone and features. More than that however, it is wonderfully situated on the very eastern edge of the village which for us brings the best of both worlds: uninterrupted views over the fields of vines, but at a distance into the village that is genuinely a short walk. We have two children of 11 and 13 and with them we time our walk to a meal out at 9 minutes door to table.

Gorgeous villa close to the village center

This was our second visit to the villa and I Can’t recommend this villa enough. We stayed for a week at the beginning of July and there was plenty of room for our family of 8. The highlights of our week were a trip to St.Topez (take the ferry from Ste Maxine), visiting the beaches at La Nartelle and driving to the villages of La Garde Freinet and Grimaud.

We spent most of our time outside, either in the pool, on the sun loungers, or playing table tennis, fussball or petanque. There's a fantastic gas BBQ outside (plus an American fridge so it's not too far to get a beer if you're in the pool!) and an outside lounge and dining area. The kids were also entertained by the DVDs available, and in the evening, it was a short walk in to town to eat out. The house is fully air-conditioned and the ground floor is fully accessible. If you're thinking of booking, don't hesitate. We'd love to go back.

Stunning hidden gem

Wonderful property perfect for lazy family days relaxing by the pool, enjoying the garden, playing games (table football, petanque, ping pong) and long lunches on the verandah. Fabulously well equipped, clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. The coast is a short drive away and Plan de la tour centre is small enough to be peaceful and charming but large enough to cater for day to day needs. The local restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance , we enjoyed take out pizzas, and the tour de la plan in particular, but the gas BBQ at the property was a big hit too! All in all we had a really fun filled memorable holiday. Thumbs up and big smiles all round from the children and adults alike! Thank you :)

A provencal looking villa beautifully refurbished

Our first impressions more than matched our expectations. This is a spacious house sympathetically remodelled. The outside area is a particular feature and our group of 10 including two young children were able to spread out and enjoy the facilities. We had a couple of rainy evenings but the covered outside areas enabled us to stay outside. Cocktails in the pool house and dinner adjacent to the kitchen.

We used a local chef; Linda Thomas, who created a lovely dinner for a special anniversary event.

Plan de la Tour village is a 15 minute walk and the location is perfect for exploring inland towns such as Grimaud and Ramatuelle and also serves as a refuge from the busier coastal areas.

We had a great time and the support from the owners was first class and we are grateful that we were able to stay in their lovely home.

Amazing villa and location.

We stayed for two weeks in July 2017 and had an amazing time. The villa is in a lovely peaceful location but just a short drive or 10 mins walk to Plan de la Tour. The villa had everything we needed, space, quality finish, superb kitchen and had all the mod cons. Outside was even better with lots of areas to hide away and read a book, table tennis, table football and a great pool. The pool wasn’t heated but it didn’t need to be, water temp was high 20’s most days. Lots of places to visit nearby and beach only 10-15 min drive to st Maxine. One of the best villas we have stayed and if visiting the region again would not hesitate to rebook.
